If you're wondering about the difference between TM31-TM5-TM6 and TM7 then this article is well worth a read

I've spoken to so many people today who have older Thermies , TM31s and TM5s actually.

They struggle to see the value in upgrading or trading in because they just don't get that much use out of their thermomix that they do have.

It's such a shame and it's so hard to share all of the things that my TM6 and TM7 have done for me in my life over the last 6 years.

It's hard to put into words just how much more user friendly and inspiring the newer models are, to use. How much more versatile they are, how incredibly the recipe collections and inspiration has exploded. There's no more guess work, searching for recipes and hoping that it looks like what its meant to because there are no photos or they're in black and white and the pages are stuck together....

I truly believe that the TM5 is merely a digital screen version of the TM31 with a larger bowl. As far as long cooking times, higher heat, cookidoo, and general usability it just isn't anywhere close to what the TM6 or TM7 can do. I know this might sound harsh but its my opinion and I do think i'm entitled to it since I've owned all 4 models and absolutely loved them all at the time.

You all know that I loved and used my TM6s non stop and at one point I had 4 in my kitchen.

The productivity and the main meals that I was able to make in my TM6 was a total game changer and i'll never be able to sing its praises enough. It changed my dinner habits for my family in such a positive way. Dare I say it but meal planning has changed my life - my god that sounds so cliche 🤣 and it's thanks to Cookidoo.

My TM31 and TM5 were so awesome for teaching me about what was in food, how to bake and make a lot of food from scratch, lots of snacks, processing and preparation. The one thing they didn't do for my family was main meals. The blades spun the whole time, the temperature just didn't get hot enough. I never really truly got 'one pot' or 'hands free' meal time that the kids and hubby and I would be raving about.

Until I got my TM6.

Now its been elevated again with the TM7 and I honestly struggle to explain HOW or WHY the 6 and 7 are so different...

For me the most exciting thing about our TM7 is what we dont yet know. Yes, the silent cooking is AMAZING - and strange lol. The open lid cooking brings that feeling of traditional cooking back, visually. The high heat cooking means next level flavour. The blades stopping during cooking preventing shredding or not moving at all through modes like egg boiler.. The intuitive integrated cookidoo is probably what sets the 6 and 7 apart. It's a necessity for me. I freaking LOVE cookidoo.

I love it for being my inspiration, my time saver, my stress reliever, my personal shopper, my guide. I love that it elevates my skills in the kitchen, teaches my kids independence and all about what ingredients give what flavours. I love that it brings stress free time into my kitchen.. love that it saves me money and time.

I've gone from using my Thermomix® just for basic processing, blending, kneading functions to being a total workhorse that would be the first appliance replaced if the house ever burnt down, even before my coffee machine.... (I think 😂)

Oh, dinner?

Dinner was AMAZING. Gnocchi and Murgh Makhani (yep from cookidoo). I also made mozzarella cheese filled with spinach naan. All from scratch. All amazing.

Full, happy, healthy bellies here tonight. 🌟

Obviously not today with current weather. A light lunch of mandarin marmalade toast. This was made by my daughter in a TM31 and boy is it good. Even a TM more than 13 years old will bring efficiencies to your kitchen.

Popped into Harvey Norman Seconds at O'Connor and they were marking down items for a stocktake sale. These enamelled cast iron casseroles are well priced. Lots of cake tins, glasses, cutlery etc. And of course the Stanley Rogers pans that I love. It's worth a visit.
