Scope Home Access Specialists in Aged Care Home Modifications & Occupational Therapy Services

Scope Home Access is a Not-for-Profit organisation providing home and yard modification and maintenance services, informed by Occupational Therapy home environment assessments to the elderly and people with a disability. Our award winning team, including in-house Builders and Occupational Therapists, work collaboratively to provide you with a home modifications solution that is practical, cost-eff

ective and helps improve the safety and independence of our clients and their caregivers. Home Modifications can be minor, such as the installation of grab rails or handheld showers, or major such as whole bathroom renovations. Home and Yard maintenance services include minor repairs or improvements to the home and garden that improve client safety. Scope Home Access receives funding through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and is a registered service provider for My Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We provide service across multiple regions including the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, Southern Highlands and ACT.

Today we hosted the first Occupational Therapist workshop of 2026 on the Central Coast, bringing together OTs from across the region alongside our own expert OTs and home modifications builders.

The session was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, share knowledge, and strengthen our understanding of how thoughtful design and practical modifications can truly transform lives. From hands-on discussions to real-world problem solving, it was inspiring to see everyone working together toward better outcomes for clients.

A huge thank you to our builders Greg and John, and OT Vicky for sharing their expertise, and to the incredible OTs for their ongoing dedication and passion 💙

That’s a wrap on a fantastic day at the Aged Care & Disability Expo 2026!

Tony, our Business Development Manager, and John, our ACT Regional Supervisor, spent the day at Exhibition Park in Canberra connecting with the local community. It was a privilege to be part of an event dedicated to empowerment and education, showcasing the latest technologies and services designed to enhance independence for seniors and people with disabilities.

OTs and Home Modifications - NDIS/My Aged Care

Scope Home Access is a social benefit enterprise (NFP) providing home environment Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment services and Builders for home modification and maintenance service. This unique service extends and improves the lifestyle of older Australians and people with a disability at any age, in their own homes. We also focus on the WHS impact of the home environment for both family/friend carers and formal care services for these two groups. The joint assessment of the client’s home environment by both an occupational therapist and a builder, results in a holistic, practical and value for-money modification that benefits clients into the future. Scope Home Access provides this service to clients predominantly in the Illawarra and NSW South Coast, NSW Capital Country regions, the Hunter and the ACT. Scope Home Access receives funding through Federal Government bodies with our main recurring funding for aged care services provided through the Commonwealth Department of Social Services - Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). We provide subsidised services to clients registered with My Aged Care for the CHSP program and OT/Builder services for Homecare Package clients as well. Over the past few years, Scope Home Access has embraced innovation and technology including the upcoming launch of in-home Assistive Technologies. With workshop/office locations across all of its service regions, the hub of Head Office in the Illawarra (3 Hamilton St, Dapto) also houses one of Australia’s largest Home Modification Information Centres with interactive displays that allow clients (and OTs or aged care agencies) to try out many home modification structural and assistive technologies.
