The line “Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink” comes from Coleridge’s 1798 poem, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
In the tale, a sailor adrift on a vast ocean is surrounded by endless water he cannot drink — a haunting symbol of spiritual thirst amid abundance.
The Mariner’s redemption comes only when he learns reverence — when he blesses the very life he once cursed.
This November, the cosmos tells a similar story.
The sky swells with water — Scorpio, Pisces, Cancer — emotion, empathy, intuition, dreams. By mid-month, a grand water trine forms: Saturn in Pisces, Jupiter in Cancer, and the New Moon in Scorpio (20 Nov).
It’s a tide of feeling, a deep psychic current that can heal or overwhelm, depending on how we meet it.
Water teaches through movement. It finds its way through every block — the very essence of our Second Sutra. The task this month is not to dam the river, but to become its conscious channel.
⚡ The First Wave — Mars Opposite Uranus (4 Nov)
As the month opens, Mars in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Ta**us.
Pressure releases suddenly. Emotions that have been held too long demand motion.
If you’ve felt stuck, this is the moment the current breaks free.
Let it move through the body — not at someone else.*
Dance, breathe, shake, or chant. Water cleanses through sound and movement.*
🌕 Full Moon in Ta**us (6 Nov) — Ground the Feeling
After the surge, the Full Moon in Ta**us (13°) brings grounding.
It reminds us that nourishment is physical: breath, food, touch, rest.
Let your practice be sensual this week — slow breath, deep belly, strong feet.
Ask: What sustains me when emotion recedes?
🌑 New Moon in Scorpio (20 Nov) — The Deep Well
Here’s the emotional heart of the month — a New Moon at 28° Scorpio, opposite Uranus at 29° Ta**us, and trine Jupiter in Cancer (25°) and Saturn in Pisces (25°).
This alignment brings coherence and awakening after months of chaos. The opposition to Uranus electrifies the field — breakthroughs, emotional shocks, and sudden liberation moments are all possible. It’s a cosmic reminder that freedom and truth are inseparable.
Scorpio dives for truth; Pisces redeems it with compassion; Cancer tends the heart that holds it; and Uranus in Ta**us shakes loose what’s become stagnant or overly secure.
“The medicine of water is memory.”
What wants to be forgiven? What memory needs to be cleansed, not analysed?
Where does change ask to move through your body, even if it feels uncomfortable?
In Kundalini Yoga, this is a perfect time for deep kriyas or meditations for emotional release — Meditation for a Calm Heart or Kriya for Elevation both harmonise beautifully with this frequency, helping the body integrate the shocks and awakenings that Uranus can bring.
🪞 Saturn & Jupiter Station Direct (27–30 Nov)
As I gather with other beautiful souls for the Kundalini Yoga Festival Australia, one giant stands still in the sky:
• Saturn stations direct at 25° Pisces (29 Nov)
This is profound timing.
Saturn — the planet of structure and discipline — turns forward just as the community comes together in spiritual practice. A renewed commitment to carry the teachings forward perhaps?
The heavens and the sangat align — a perfect reflection of the sutra: There is a way through every block. Perhaps, with Saturn’s work in Pisces, this turning point signals the emergence of a new way of carrying the teachings forward — one that takes form through the shared experience of the festival itself.
✨ Closing Reflection
November is not dry land. It’s water everywhere — but the invitation is to drink consciously.
Let feeling become awareness, awareness become compassion, and compassion become action.
As we close the month in sacred gathering, may we remember:
The heart is an ocean. The way through is not to resist it, but to breathe within it.
