School Holidays began this week with a visit to the Botanical Gardens 🌳A scavenger hunt led our young Participants around the ponds and through the playground to find lots of natural resources such as leaves, sticks, seeds and flowers to create a self portrait. They loved swinging on the giant swing together and climbing up into the treehouse!

Back at The Inclusion Centre the children enjoyed sensory play activities with playdough and paints, as well as board games and dancing🎨♟ Keep an eye out for more to come next week!!!

At The Inclusion Centre we offer a range of different creative and daily living activities. From baking fairy cakes, to chopping up veggies for a roast... we always have someone using the kitchen 🛒🍽

Do you also like using your imagination? Our friendly Participants have decided to make tie dye t-shirts & balloon paper mache pumpkins for Halloween 🎈 what a fantastic idea! We cannot wait to put up some spooky decorations 🧟‍♀️

On Saturday the Participants from The Inclusion Centre attended the Imagine Seaside Festival at Casuarina Surf Club 🏄‍♂️ Here they had the opportunity to experience the fresh sea breeze as they listened and watched as local acts performed on stage 🎸🪘🎷 Everyone watched as the sun set over the horizon and they welcomed the last of the cool dry season weather 🌥🌅 Another lovely community outing to wrap up last week!

It was a hands on morning at The Inclusion Centre today with our Participants engaging in making coil & pinch pots ⚱️ Using their fine motor skills and concentration they sculpted the air-dry clay into different shaped pots. This was an enjoyable, quiet activity and everyone chose to listen to calming music 🎼 Later in the week they will paint and decorate their finished designs!
