"Sciatica" is commonly used to describe pain down the leg, with no history of an injury. 9 out of 10 times the pain is referred from the lower back, although sometimes without any pain felt in the back. Osteopaths are trained to treat back pain & sciatica and there is good evidence that shows that osteopathic treatment for back pain can be a safer & more effective treatment than surgery.

Hi check this out:

It's widely known that strength training is better for insulin/blood sugar control than say endurance training. Pain can be an obstacle preventing exercise. Osteopaths may be able to help treat some of the pain often associated with chronic diabetes. At Darwin Osteopathy we can also provide you with a 7 minute a day strength & balance program. Incorporating the program into your daily routine helps develop core strength & regulate blood sugar. No gyms or exercise classes, although of course these are definitely encouraged!

Being highly trained in physical medicine, our experienced Osteopaths treat many people with complex shoulder conditions. In resolving ongoing shoulder pain, there are often many factors to address, including rotator cuff dysfunction, neck and upper back biomechanics & use, such as poor posture.
Surgery should be absolutely the last resort - it’s expensive, takes a long time to recover, risks long-term complications & carries a high failure rate.
Have you considered seeing an Osteopath to help resolve your ongoing shoulder pain?

Osteopaths deal with patients that have a lot of cramps or muscle dystonia. The slide show has a lot of useful information, however not all cramps are solely muscle related. Quite often they are related to joint dysfunction or postural & ergonomic factors which forms part of an Osteopath's training
