🎓 Congratulations to our First Nations Project Lead, Nancy Doolah, on graduating from IAHA!

The Indigenous Allied Health Australia NT Workforce Development Leadership Program is a culturally grounded program, proudly created by Indigenous people, dedicated to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals across the Northern Territory.

IAHA's Leading Our Ways equips participants to:

• Ground their professional practice in culture
• Drive meaningful change in their communities and workplaces

Last week on beautiful Larrakia Country, we celebrated the success of the 20 graduates of the 2025 ‘Leading Our Ways’ IAHA NT Workforce Development Leadership Program.

The ‘Leading Our Ways Program’ is a culturally grounded program created by our people, for our people which empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals to lead with strength, culture, and purpose.

A big congratulations to each of our deadly graduates. It’s been a privilege to share this journey with you, and we can’t wait to see the amazing things you’ll all continue to achieve in the spaces you live and work.

Thank you to the Northern Territory PHN for their financial support of the program over the past 2 years, to Aunty Miliwanga and Uncle Stephen for their love, guidance and support and to Donna, Kylie, Michael (Magoo) and the team from Murrimatters for their facilitation and leadership.

Our Executive Manager Mental Health, Julia Wormer, and Program Manager Outreach Services, Donna Heller, attended the IAHA Graduation Dinner to celebrate Kiera Vincent, who recently completed her placement with TeamHEALTH and has now graduated. 🎓

Congratulations also to Charlie and Jade, who completed their placements with us last year — Charlie is now employed by IAHA, and Jade is on her way to study Speech Pathology.

As part of NT Mental Health Week 2025, TeamHEALTH CEO, Rina Bruinsma, spoke with 104.1 Territory FM about the importance of connection, inclusion, and local support in building mentally healthy communities.

For more than 38 years, TeamHEALTH has delivered evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe mental health support across the Top End and Big Rivers regions, guided by lived experience and First Nations voices.

Rina shared how services like Team talk - a free, Territory-based phone support line (1800 832 600) - provide a confidential space to talk and find the right help when it's needed.
