Great news! Shockwave therapy has been recently added to our various range of treatments at Daw Park Physiotherapy. This new technology is used to manage conditions such as tennis/golf elbow, Achilles tendinitis, patella tendinitis, hip bursitis, lumbar chronic muscular pain, heel spurs, and more. Basically, shockwave is repetitive, mechanical shocks to the body, so it's kind of like a really deep massage. This is believed to induce increased blood flow and metabolic activity around the site of pain accelerating the healing process.
