I’m back from a wonderful break with my family, feeling deeply grateful for the time we shared together. It’s amazing how stepping away for a little while can bring so much clarity, joy, and appreciation for the beauty in everyday life.

This week, our yoga practice will be themed around gratitude. When we pause to truly notice the good around us — whether it’s a sunrise, a smile, or a quiet moment of stillness — we open ourselves to more joy, ease, and connection. Gratitude has a way of softening the heart and attracting more of what feels good.

I’m back on board after some time away visiting family, and I’m so ready to roll out the mat with you again.

Travel can be such a gift, but it also has a way of taking a toll. Flights, different beds, too much sitting, and being out of our usual rhythm can leave us feeling a little ungrounded.

That’s why stepping onto the yoga mat feels like coming home. It’s the place where we reconnect, find our breath, and settle back into ourselves—no matter how far we’ve wandered.

Here’s a little glimpse of our class in reclined pranayama, with a bolster gently resting on the belly.

Placing a weight—like a bolster or folded blanket—on the belly during meditation or pranayama can be deeply grounding. It helps:

*Draw awareness to the rise and fall of the breath
* Soothe the nervous system
* Promote a sense of safety and calm
* Deepen diaphragmatic breathing
* Encourage the body to slow down and release

This simple practice invites you to come home to yourself—one breath at a time.

I spent the Winter Solstice exactly how I needed to — deeply nourished at Vibrant Energy’s Winter Nourishment Day ✨❄️

It was a beautiful day of grounding movement, heartfelt connection, and the most incredible food — all shared in the most wonderful company. A true honour to pause, reflect and reset with the season.

Their focus, enthusiasm, and commitment to the practice was truly inspiring — even in tiny bodies, their presence was mighty!
