This Women’s Weekend Short Term Respite (STR) experience is designed for women who need time away from daily demands to reset, reconnect, and feel supported. The weekend focuses on calm, nurturing activities such as craft, flower arranging, gentle movement, meditation, and shared meals in a safe, women-only environment.

This experience supports emotional wellbeing, regulation, and social connection, with plenty of flexibility, rest time, and 24-hour onsite support throughout.

Gentlemen that do NDIS STA/Respite; couple of good looking Bolt roosters right here. Steve joined Casey, our Chief of Good Times, on a 6 day STA towards the end of last year. He certainly chose a good week for it as the sun was shining and the sky was blue. This was Steve's first taste of NDIS respite, he is already booked in for another stay with us, as being able to take time away from the family has helped everyone immensely, that's why we think respite is an essential NDIS service.

Every month we run skills based STA/respite experiences where like minded NDIS folk come together to learn new skills, socialise, build capacity and just feel good about themselves. Did you know that one of the reasons that NDIS participants can use respite is to try new things and make friends. At the Bolt we undertake a matching process to match guests to one another that we think might get along, and we love it when we nail it.

Meet Georgia and Charlie who met at our recent Ceramics Respite Experience, and from the pictures I think you can tell that they got along swimmingly. Numbers were exchanged and there was talking about both returning to the Bolt for another experience in the future.

Meet Grant who was a recent guest with the Bolt. Grant spent 4 nights on a Build Your Own Experience respite with our Chief of Good Food and Good Moods, Narelle. Grant was a keen singer so he regaled Narelle across the week with his repertoire, Narelle may have even joined in on the songs she knew.

Across his stay Grant was able to get out and about in Daylesford and the surrounding areas, undertaking activities that he had not done before and working towards some of his goals. Narelle cooked up a storm for Grant, as well as heading out for brunch at one of our local eateries in the Daylesford community.
