Team spotlight: Meet Eden, NTRLP Workforce Officer

Based in Darwin, Eden is part of our dedicated workforce team, ensuring our locums have an enjoyable and supported experience on their placements across the Northern Territory. With a background in public health, health promotion and stakeholder engagement, Eden holds a Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences and a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, with a strong focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.

💬 “Strengthening partnerships with clients and building trusting relationships with health professionals are key components of why I love my role within NTRLP. Being able to speak with our health professionals daily about their experiences and passion has provided incredible insight into the crucial work they do in the NT. The level of support we provide to our new to remote health professionals in particular is something I’m very proud of, and the positive impact this has on our remote and very remote communities is incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful to work alongside a team who shares the same values and mission to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.”

Eden is passionate about strengthening the primary health workforce in remote communities, a mission that continues to make a lasting difference across the NT.

Last month, our team visited locums and community partners across the NT, including the beautiful communities of Hermannsburg (Ntaria), and Amoonguna.

Spending time with local health teams, listening to their experiences and hearing how our locums are supporting culturally safe, community-led healthcare is always a highlight.

These visits remind us why NTRLP exists, to strengthen partnerships, support local services and ensure care is accessible where it’s needed most.

A huge thank you to the Hermannsburg and Amoonguna communities for the warm welcome and for the incredible work you do every day.

Did you know?

Some NT communities are hundreds of kilometres from the nearest hospital, making access to vital healthcare services challenging.

NTRLP bridges this gap by providing highly skilled healthcare professionals who travel to remote communities, supporting local health teams to deliver culturally safe, community-led care where it’s needed most.

By ensuring care is close to home, NTRLP helps strengthen healthcare access, improve health outcomes and support the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families across the NT.
