I call this one “Free the Ibis” 😂

Amateur tattoos like this often respond really well to removal, and usually much faster than professional work.

That’s because the ink is typically placed more unevenly, often more superficially, and in lower concentrations compared to professionally done tattoos.

Less saturation and inconsistent depth means the body can clear it more easily over time, which is why you’ll often see quicker fading.

Not all tattoos behave the same, but this is a great example of how amateur ink can lift beautifully with the right approach.

Do you know I remove many family tattoos for reasons other than breakups? People simply don’t like the look, it’s not in a good position or, believe it or not, the kids hate it. Especially baby portraits; as children grow older they can feel embarrassed by seeing their baby pictures on their ageing parents’ bodies. I understand this isn’t everyone’s experience and many love their family tattoos including children. However, we’re here if you’d like yours removed.

Before & after on cosmetic brow tattoo removal! 🙌🏽

Cosmetic ink behaves very differently to traditional tattoo ink. 🫟

It’s often more superficial and made up of different pigment types, which means it can respond much faster to laser treatment.

In most cases, black brow pigments can lift significantly in just 1–2 sessions.

That said, results can still vary depending on the type of pigment used, how saturated it is, and how the skin responds. This is why a tailored approach is always key when treating the face.

Time for this tattoo to fly away ✈️

Removal isn’t instant, and this is a perfect example of why patience matters.

Across this sequence, you’ll notice the tattoo didn’t start noticeably fading until a few sessions in.

That’s completely normal!

Ink can sit at different depths in the skin, and sometimes it takes multiple treatments to properly break it down before the body can start clearing it more visibly.

Once that shift happens, the fading tends to pick up, and the progress becomes much more noticeable.

Wrist tattoos can be a little more stubborn than you might expect..

Areas like the wrist are further from the body’s main lymphatic pathways and tend to have less circulation compared to places like the chest or upper back.

→ That means the body can take a bit longer to flush away the fragmented ink after each session.

So while the treatment itself is the same, the location of the tattoo plays a big role in how quickly you’ll see fading!
