When individuals are confronted with a state of overwhelment, it’s often hard for them to to stop the spiral. The body just needs time to stop and rest in silence. The sensory system needs to calm without further stimulation. It can help the person in the dysregulated state to be with a calm person, this often helps them to feel safe.

The ADHD brain is an overload of sensory stimulation. Each person is wired differently, and the effects can differ; however, for individuals who experience this, it can be quite fatiguing.
It’s not all in their head, they can’t help it, people just need to learn how to understand it better.

I have been seeing quite a few kids lately that just can’t tell me how they are feeling.
Charts like this one can be helpful for kiddies to describe their feelings.
When kids show behavioural issues, they are usually in the right column.
Next time you see a child in meltdown, don’t judge, ask how you can help them. They don’t have coping strategies, we are their strategies.

My mother ones told me "My child, life will test your heart, but never doubt your strength. You were not created to be broken you were created to grow. Even when people disappoint you, stand tall and remember who you are. Wipe your tears, learn your lessons, and keep moving forward with grace. Protect your heart, but never harden it. Trust yourself, pray when you feel weak, and believe that better days are ahead. No matter what, I am proud of you always be brave, kind, and true to yourself

When your heart is broken by those you loved and trusted, remember that their actions do not define your worth. Allow yourself to feel the pain, but don't let it convince you that you are unlovable or weak.
Healing takes time be patient with yourself, set healthy boundaries, and choose people who show you the same care and honesty you give. One day, your heart will be softer, wiser, and stronger, not because you weren't hurt, but because you survived it.

Children are often misunderstood, but with compassion and understanding, we can uncover the underlying reasons for their behaviour. Most actions stem from a nervous system that's still learning to regulate itself. Children are still developing emotional awareness and may struggle to articulate their feelings. What they need is love, guidance, and support. Next time you witness a child having a meltdown, take a moment to stop, watch, and listen. Their behaviour is an opportunity for us to connect and understand what they're trying to communicate.

In a world obsessed with money, status, and achievements, we often forget the most valuable wealth we already possess — a body that functions, a mind that can think clearly, and the simple ability to wake up and live another day.

We stress over deadlines, arguments, social media opinions, traffic, and things that won’t even matter a year from now. But the moment health is threatened, life becomes brutally simple. Suddenly, success is being able to breathe without pain. Happiness is sleeping without fear. Wealth is waking up without medication, without machines, without constant doctor visits.

Health is silent when it’s present — but loud when it’s gone.

The tragedy is not that people don’t value health.
The tragedy is that most people only realize its value when it is already slipping away.

Your healthy body lets you hug your loved ones.
Your healthy mind lets you dream, create, and love.
Your energy lets you chase purpose, not just survive.

No luxury car can replace a strong heart.
No expensive watch can buy more time.
No amount of money can purchase genuine peace if your body is suffering.

Gratitude for health is not about ignoring life’s problems.
It’s about remembering that many people would trade everything they own just to have what you might currently take for granted.

Drink water.
Move your body.
Rest when needed.
Protect your peace.
Choose food that heals, not just satisfies.
Choose people who nourish your soul, not drain it.

Because one day, you will realise:
The richest people are not the ones with the most possessions.
They are the ones who can wake up pain-free, breathe deeply, think clearly, and live fully.

Take care of your health today — so you don’t have to fight for it tomorrow.

Stay grateful. Stay aware. Stay alive to the gift you already have. 🌿🌺

This number is not okay!
Every country needs to do more for mental illness. The system is broken, I see it everyday and it breaks my heart.
There are many like me trying to help people and yet the government makes it’s so hard for us to do so.
Mental Health matters, you matter! Please seek help if you’re not okay, you are not alone. 🙏🏼

So heartbreaking 💔

I am frequently asked about the distinction between my profession and that of a psychologist. I have come across a helpful illustration that simplifies the roles of various therapists. As a psychotherapist, I can provide an alternative for individuals who do not require a diagnosis or medication and are frustrated with lengthy wait times for appointments. Unlike psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors often have shorter wait lists and may offer lower fees to compensate for the lack of Medicare rebates. Additionally, we do not require a mental health plan, although we welcome referrals from general practitioners. All therapists should be registered with a governing body and complete ongoing training and supervision to maintain registration and compliance. I have undertaken extensive education and professional development to stay current with best practices and provide the highest level of support to my clients. It is essential to recognise that professionals like myself can offer valuable assistance, even if we are not psychologists or psychiatrists. In fact, our holistic approach may be better suited to some individuals' needs.
