Dr Lauren Clyne BVSc (Hons) MVSc is an experienced, local veterinarian and dairy farmer now providing independent veterinary services to cattle in the Macalister Irrigation District and beyond. Normal hours are Tuesdays and Fridays, but appointments can be made on other days by arrangement. Inquiries/bookings welcome via phone, text or email anytime.

Today Mikey the pet steer needed a small eye cancer removed - nothing else about him is small! He didn't fit in the race or crush so we corralled him into a corner. Photos don't do him justice - it felt like tending a short statured black and white elephant.

Finally dehorned our first batch of calves! Using sedation, local anaesthetic and anti-inflammatories these babies got the works! We hope to offer the full service in the near future. Also managed to do a quick bit of plastic surgery on a calf with a hairy third eyelid while she was under.

Today I tried sedating heifers for Teat Sealing for the first time for some lovely clients - it went swimmingly!! Heifers were very chill, the job was done quickly and cleanly. No tail jacking required and I didn't get pooped on once! Winning!!
