At this time of year, emotions can be complex — a mix of gratitude, reflection, joy and remembrance.
This year, we have been deeply honoured to walk alongside families in moments of loss, love and farewell. Thank you to every family who trusted us to help create a goodbye that felt personal, meaningful and true.
We are grateful to serve our community with compassion, care and openness, and to continue conversations around death, dying and grief — not just in times of loss, but in everyday life too.
As Christmas approaches, we hold space for those celebrating, those remembering, and those simply getting through.

We headed to the Latrobe Bowls Club on Friday afternoon and enjoyed some time together outside the office. We're a competitive bunch 🙈 I don't think you'll see any of us on the green anytime soon - and appreciate the time Jenny and Trudy from the club spent showing us the tricks. If you haven't given it a go - you should!

But while our collective is young, our experience is not — each of us has been in the funeral industry for over a decade. Together, we bring that knowledge, care, and heart into every service we create.
We’ve been re-introducing our team, so you can get to know the faces, stories, and dedication behind The Funeral Collective. Because when the time comes, it helps to know who’s by your side. 💚

These intimate, familiar places often hold the strongest memories, and we feel privileged to help families say goodbye in ways that feel personal, gentle, and truly theirs. 🤍🌿

Yesterday was 3 years since The Funeral Collective opened. Who would've thought writing a book (Dying Done Differently) during covid would totally pivot my life! (I'd spent 5 or 6 years talking about writing that book!) It's been so rewarding to have families let us care for their loved ones - and we're only just getting started! I have a wonderful team - Margy, Colin, Mardi and Caleb- who jumped on board to help me to do things differently! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Crazy to think that in just 3 years we're now the only locally owned funeral home in Devonport!
