🌟 We’re Hiring – Support Worker Needed on the Central North West Coast 🌟

Tassie Mates is currently looking for a mature female support worker, ideally aged between 30 and 65, to support a small number of existing participants across the Central North West Coast, including Devonport, Ulverstone, Burnie, Penguin, and surrounding areas.

This role is suited to someone practical, caring, and experienced — an all-rounder who is confident supporting people both in the home and out in the community.

Current work available is 3 days per week, with the potential to increase to up to 5 days for the right person.

✨ We’re especially looking for someone with:
✔️ Sewing skills and an interest in creative activities
✔️ Experience with home care and daily living support
✔️ Confidence supporting complex behaviours
✔️ A calm, mature, and participant-focused approach
✔️ Strong English communication skills and familiarity with Australian culture and social norms, as participant rapport and clear communication are very important in this role
✔️ Driver’s licence and reliable transport 🚗
✔️ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✔️ Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
✔️ Current First Aid & CPR 🩺

Experience in Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, Youth Work, or similar fields will be highly regarded.

Tassie Mates is seeking one male and one female team member to deliver a combination of support work and mentoring across the North West region.

This role includes both practical in-home supports and community-based mentoring. You will support participants in daily living skills, independence, community access, and structured skill development aligned with their NDIS goals.

We are looking for applicants who are qualified or currently enrolled in a relevant course and who are committed to providing consistent, high-quality support.

✔ Holds (or is studying) Disability, Community Services, Youth Work, or a related qualification
✔ Has experience supporting people with disability
✔ Is confident working independently in the community
✔ Is reliable and seeking long-term work

Caress is a warm and bubbly mentor and support worker with lived experience of disability, which gives her a real understanding and empathy in the way she supports others. She’s a proud mum of two, creative at heart, and loves arts and crafts, photography, gardening and her ever-growing jungle of indoor plants.

She’s fully qualified with a Certificate IV in Community Services, First Aid and all the right clearances.

🌟 Say hi to Conniey! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Conniey to the Tassie Mates crew as a mentor and support worker. He’s the kind of bloke who’s always up for a laugh, brings plenty of energy, and genuinely cares about the people around him.

🏉 A big AFL fan, keen fisherman, and outdoorsy bloke, he also loves music festivals, checking out cars and bikes, and spending time with his dog Sid. He is a true animal lover.

Conniey has spent time working with young people and people living with disability, and he brings loads of life experience to his role. He’s relatable, easy to get along with, and a great fit for anyone who wants a down-to-earth mentor who will get stuck in and have fun while helping them reach their goals.
