🎄 Thank you, Devonport! 🎄

A huge thank you to all the incredible gingerbread makers, the wonderful local shops who hosted displays, decorated their windows, and donated prizes, and everyone who took part in the Great Gingerbread House Hunt. Your creativity, generosity and community spirit truly made this event something special.

Thanks to our amazing local businesses, we were able to create six prize packs valued at $500 each, helping to make Christmas a little more magical and rewarding the hard work of our participants.

✨ Congratulations to our winners:
• Most Creative Gingerbread House – Entry 1 (Don River Railway replica)
• Most Unusual Materials – Entry 12 (castle scene with pipe cleaners, beans and legumes)
• Public’s Favourite – Entry 22 (sparkling candy-themed gingerbread family)
• Best Decorated Window – Devonport Bookshop 📚✨

🎉 Plus, three members of the public also won prize packs, selected at random for taking part in the hunt!

This decision has been made in the interest of public safety and safety of our members.

We had a great time at Festive Friday in the Rooke Street Mall today!
Thanks to Sea FM Devonport and 7AD for being part of the day.

The countdown is on! The Great Gingerbread House Hunt is coming to an end, and there are heaps of fabulous prizes up for grabs.

If you haven’t already, there’s still time to explore our town, admire the incredible handcrafted gingerbread houses in shop windows, and vote for your favourite display. It’s festive fun for all ages and a great way to support our local businesses this holiday season.

Competition closes: Saturday, 20 December

Winners announced: 2pm Monday, 22 December

Pick up an entry form from any participating shop, follow the trail, and drop your completed form into one of the entry boxes around town.
