MEN NEED MEN.
We men need brothers to talk too, to support us through our challenges, to bounce Ideas off, to pull us up when we are being a dick and to even challenge us when we are playing small.
Ive been on this mission for a number of years and I’ll admit I’ve been doing much of it alongside my wife and a mate or two. The connection with other men has been limited and inconsistent, the mates I do reach out to and chat with about this stuff are busy just like me with young family’s and jobs to do. The last 12-18months that has changed. Ive purposely surrounded myself with more men on the mission, joined groups, gone to mens catch ups and even started running a mens catch up myself.
The difference this has made is incredible. feeling like I have a space to speak and be heard, that I have other men to give me that look of “yeah I hear you brother, you got this”. It allows me to get the s**t off my chest and stop bottling it up and actually see it for what it is.
Men, it’s simple…I urge you to make an effort to find a group of 3-5men that you trust and can speak to about EVERYTHING...yes I mean everything. Find them and dont hold back, give yourself a chance to be real and open yourself to being truly the best person you can be.
