Stayed informed during emergencies and disasters by making sure you're receiving updates from the Emergency Alert number!

🌧️ In the event of an emergency or disaster, warnings are issued that are designed to keep you informed.

‼️Emergency Alerts text messages are sent to everyone within a certain geographical location. 📱

Residents are urged to:
• Update your phone settings to list this number as a favourite.
• Save it as a contact so you know who is messaging you.
• Check you have not blocked the number accidentally.

These texts contain potentially life-saving information that includes advice on how to take action to protect you and your loved ones.

As you're all aware, our region has been facing severe heatwaves recently and it’s important to stay safe and look out for one another. The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) has shared a helpful video with essential tips to keep cool and avoid heat-related illnesses.
