Today we stand together to support all the individuals and families bravely fighting cancer. 💛 The daffodil is a symbol of hope, strength, and renewal – reminding us that no one faces this journey alone.

Early detection saves lives. ✅ Australia has several cancer screening programs that can help find cancer at an early and more treatable stage:

• BreastScreen Australia – for women aged 50–74.

• National Bowel Cancer Screening Program – for men and women aged 50–74.

• Cervical Screening Program – for women and people with a cervix aged 25–74.

We encourage our community to take part in these vital programs and to speak with your GP about any health concerns.

At Drouin Family Medical Centre, we are supporting Stroke Awareness Week to help our community recognise the signs of stroke and act FAST.

👉 Think F.A.S.T:

F – Face: Has their mouth drooped?

A – Arms: Can they lift both arms?

S – Speech: Is their speech slurred?

T – Time: Call 000 straight away.

Every minute counts – fast action saves lives. 💛

✅ Book an appointment with your doctors for a stroke risk check-up (blood pressure, heart health, diabetes, cholesterol). Prevention is the best protection.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Nabeel to the Drouin Family Medical Centre!
With over 13 years of experience as a General Practitioner, Dr. Nabeel brings a wealth of knowledge and a special interest in managing diabetes and other chronic diseases. He has also completed advanced training in the management of skin cancer, enhancing his expertise in skin health. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Nabeel enjoys playing cricket and golf. We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to providing exceptional care to our community.
