The goals of therapy are different and unique for everyone.

A psychologist works with you to create a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that feels safe and non-judgemental.

Because everyone’s lives, values, and needs are different, advice isn’t always helpful. Instead, therapy focuses on understanding what’s happening for you, what matters to you, and what supports change in a way that fits your life.

About the Program:
This six-week, trauma-informed therapy group is designed to build safety, regulation, and capacity before deeper trauma work.

This is not a trauma-processing group. Instead, you’ll focus on learning resources, tools, and strategies you can draw on when you feel emotionally dysregulated.

What’s included
6 × 90-minute trauma-informed group sessions
Gentle education about trauma and the nervous system
Grounding, containment & regulation skills
A personalised regulation plan
Take-home workbook and practical tools

Who it’s for:
✔ Adults with trauma exposure
✔ People feeling overwhelmed or dysregulated
✔ Clients preparing for EMDR or trauma therapy
✔ Anyone who feels they need extra support

Who it’s not for:
✖ Active psychosis
✖ Acute suicidality without individual support
✖ Unmanaged severe substance dependence

A little bonus:
Medicare group therapy rebates may be available and are in addition to your individual Medicare therapy entitlements, helping to reduce the overall cost of therapy.

We understand that committing to a program is a meaningful decision. If you’re unsure whether this group is the right fit for you, we’re happy to discuss this with you before you enrol.

This trauma-informed group is designed to build essential skills to help you:
• regulate your nervous system
• manage emotions more effectively
• cope with stress, anxiety and overwhelm

Think of it as adding tools to your toolbox. This group focuses on skill-building, not trauma processing, so you won’t be asked to delve into past experiences.

Who is this group for?
Adults experiencing trauma exposure (single or complex), emotional overwhelm, hypervigilance, shutdown or dissociation, or difficulty regulating between individual therapy sessions.

Program format:
• 6 × 90-minute group sessions
• 8–10 participants
• A safe, supportive space with others who have similar experiences

This program may also help reduce the overall cost of therapy, as many core skills are learned in the group rather than individual sessions. You may also be eligible for an additional Medicare rebate for group therapy, on top of your Mental Health Care Plan.

We understand that committing to a program is a meaningful decision. If you’re unsure whether this group is the right fit, we’re happy to talk it through with you before you enrol.

Lasting joy isn’t built by being hard on yourself. When we meet our thoughts and feelings with kindness, rather than judgment, things can begin to soften.

Practising self-compassion and gentle awareness can help reduce feelings of self-loathing and create space for more ease, connection, and fulfilment. You don’t need to fix who you are to experience joy, by just allowing yourself to be human is often where it begins.

Welcoming a new baby is a big transition, and while the focus is often on the baby, parents need care and consideration too.

When visiting parents with a newborn, small acts of respect go a long way. Check in on how they are going, follow their lead, and remember that every family’s needs and boundaries will look different in those early weeks.

Supporting new parents isn’t about expectations. It’s about presence, patience, and understanding!

Secure attachment is built through consistent experiences of safety, trust, and emotional presence.

It can be strengthened through the words we use and the ways we show up in our relationships. Being available, listening openly, responding with care, and offering emotional support all help create a sense of security over time.

In adult relationships, secure attachment is nurtured through quality time, open communication, reliability, and emotional responsiveness. It’s never too late to grow secure attachment and experience deeper connection.
