Amy - Support Coordinator ☀️

Amy brings with her a wealth of knowledge and ability to implement strong supports for our participants with an 🧑🏻‍⚕️ enrolled nursing background

👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏾 with small children at home our flexible hours and harmonious working environment provide the perfect workplace for Amy to feel comfortable, at home and productive

✅ Amy has hit the ground running picking up Support Coordination and implementing a wide range of supports including:

• Face to Face Speech therapy in remote locations

• Functional Capacity and Speech Assessments for remote participants for diagnosis AND the paed appointment with support

• Supports to assist a young girl to attend dance lessons, morning supports for school readiness and face to face speech and OT

• Comprehensive health review including blood tests, neurological review and comprehensive community access supports

• Urgent evidence for a Change of Circumstance for Home and Living Supports including Functional Capacity Assessments, Speech assessment

🌿 We provide Support Work, mainly through the NDIS, and NDIS Support Coordination. We also help people through other funding if we get referrals.

Here’s how we support our community:

📣 Employment
I’m really proud of our team – most of our staff are First Nations, we have 15 at the moment, with just one non-First Nations member. We try to empower everyone through things like financial education, encouragement to buy homes, and professional growth. We love seeing our team step into leadership roles, and we make sure the workplace is family-focused, supportive, and free of gossip or lateral violence. We tackle challenges with kindness and give people opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

🫸🏽🟡🫷🏼Support for Community Members
We match people with providers they actually feel comfortable with – the kind of support that genuinely helps them live well. Our services can range from just an hour a week to 24/7 support, depending on what someone needs.

We make sure everyone who works with us has a say in their support and stays connected with family and community. Appointments, holistic healthcare, and overall wellbeing are a big focus for us. We also encourage healthy lifestyles, from eating well to staying active, so people feel their best.

✊🏽 Our support is lived experience, trauma-informed and culturally safe, meaning people feel heard, understood, and connected. The thing that really matters is that we care and that I employ and work with people who uphold my values about our staff, the people we support, and the community.

IS GOING STRONG!

Our deadly walking group has been active for well over six months now and continues to grow into a supportive, welcoming space for everyone 🫸🏽💛🫷🏼💬

Some days we might have 3 people, other days 10 strong — and that’s perfectly okay 👏🏽
The distance we walk is always guided by how everyone is feeling, making it relaxed, flexible, and judgement-free 💛

🚗 A Small Milestone, A Big Moment for Us

This week, we did something that feels pretty special - after 6 years in business, we purchased our first ever brand new work vehicle

This isn’t about a car
It’s about how far we’ve come

From our early days making do with what we had, to steadily growing our service, our systems, and the quality of care we deliver — this moment represents years of learning, commitment, and showing up for the people we support
