Menopause doesn’t just affect hot flushes or moods. It changes your joints too.
This is something so many women brush off as ‘normal aging,’ but understanding the why is the first step to relief.
Here’s why your body feels different 👇
🧬 When estrogen drops, your joints lose some of their natural cushioning and lubrication. That means more friction and more inflammation which feels like stiffness or ache.
💪 Estrogen also helps keep muscle mass up. As it falls, muscles shrink, and your joints end up carrying more of the load.
🦴 And then there’s bone health. During menopause, bones thin faster, which makes joints less shock-absorbent and a little more sensitive.
All of these changes together explains why so many women suddenly feel those nagging aches creep in during midlife.
That’s exactly what we talk about inside the Pause Posse community where I share real strategies, resources, and support so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
