It was wonderful to do church with our Sydney Young Nak Church - English Ministry friends at Allowah on Sunday. We enjoyed the story about Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, and nativity craft. We enjoyed singing some of our favourite songs like Goodness of God and Jesus strong and kind along with the guitar. Thanks for staying to read extra Bible themed books at the end, we love this time 😊

It was lovely to have a visit from some young people from Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral - Sydney in May and October this year. We really enjoyed singing some youth songs and reading stories from the Bible together. What a time of joy in Jesus! Thanks so much for visiting us!

We want to say a huge thank you to the Ladies of the Ryde-Parramatta Golf Club!

Last week, they held a charity luncheon and raised $16,772 for Allowah.

We’re so grateful that they continuously share our story with their community. It’s wonderful to see their members take such a genuine interest in the services we provide, and find ways to support the kids and young adults who attend Allowah.

They have been in our corner for years, and their ongoing support makes a real difference.

The young people at Allowah had a lovely time with our friends from Hurstville Presbyterian Church. We watched and listened to a lively enactment of story about Esther from the Bible. We heard about Esther’s courage, and were reminded that God can help us to be strong and courageous too. There were so many smiles during Youth church! Smiles as we read youth church books together, and more smiles when we sang youth church songs together with different instruments. Thanks for visiting us our HPC friends! See you next month 😊

This Monday was World Physiotherapy Day !

Did you know that people with disabilities are at a much higher risk of falls? This can be due to a range of factors including physical or cognitive impairments, side effects of medications, or limited mobility. For some, weaker bones can also increase the risk of osteoporosis and fractures.

💪 Physiotherapy plays a vital role in preventing falls through tailored exercise programs, environmental modifications, education, and the use of mobility aids.

At Allowah, we celebrate and thank our incredible physiotherapist, Ruby, who support young people with disabilities - helping them move safely, confidently, and with greater independence. 🧡
