In the craziness of 2022, we almost missed this incredible milestone for LFL! 1st of July marked 10 years of this lil business.

Now that’s not just 10 years of hustle and grinding. That’s 10 years of incredible relationships built with families, 10 years of SO many new words and growth, 10 years of partnerships with schools and agencies within our wonderful South West community, 10 years of incredible staff and team that have built LFL to what it is today, 10 years of laughter and joy in our speech rooms, 10 years of Pop up Pirate …

It has been a phenomenal pleasure to do this gig and I honestly count my lucky stars that I get to pass my days working in my dream job with dream clients! ✨

Here’s to the next 10 and another 10 or 20 or 30 after that!

Hello and Happy New Year to all of our incredible families and clients!
We are having some technical trouble with our clinic phone so please use the updated number on our website and page if you need to get in contact with us.
Thank you and looking forward to seeing you in the speech room!
Em and the LFL Team.

1.2million Australians are living with a communication disability. This extends beyond “having trouble with words” (disorders of speech, language, voice, fluency, social skills and more) and can go on to affect every aspect of the individual’s life - from education, participation, employment, social and relationships.

I have never ever ever been more proud of this profession than I am in this chapter of my life. My 10th year as a practicing SLP and with so much to still learn and upskill in - it’s the most evolving career path than I could have imagined but I couldn’t have picked a better or more rewarding way to spend my days. I have had the privilege of working with 15 month olds, all the way up to people in their 90s, to support their speech, language or swallowing goals.

So on this Speech Pathology Week, I want to thank all the families and clients who have trusted me with their care, who have worked collaboratively to achieve incredible things and to have made this gal a very very happy little speechie.

April is ✨

Aspect (2018) identified that 1 in 70 Australians are on the autism spectrum. That’s a whole lot of us who see the world a little differently and who might have a different way of expressing ourselves within the world.

We are so lucky at to be able to work with kiddos and adults on the autism spectrum who teach us so much about just how diverse autism is, how many unique strengths and perspectives they possess and how if we can adapt our world, just a little, it can help in making their lives just a bit easier.

provide incredible resources on their website that serve to educate and empower the community - so commit to learning a little more this 🎉

No, no, we aren’t doing “summer shreds” or ration challenges 😂 We are actually very excited to be taking part in the January SOS training to better support our kiddos and families who have feeding difficulties!

The LFL crew met today for a sneaky little cheers to a wonderful 2020 🥂 we are so proud of how our families and clients have adapted throughout this very challenging year (hello Telehealth and SO much hand sanitiser). Our families and clients are at the forefront of everything we do and it’s always our goal to make sure YOU are the happiest you can be with your journey and services with .

So this week you may have noticed a little email drop in your accounts - we whipped up a Client Satisfaction survey thanks to Survey Monkey (🐵🙊🙉🙈) - and we would absolutely love to hear from you.

Feedback that shares what IS working, what’s NOT working and what you’d like to see helps us immensely and is so so appreciated.

It looks like 2021 is going to be a huge year for LFL in so many ways, so get in contact to share where you would like to see us focus on, or ... we will just surprise you and get you all giddy with excitement 🤪

How have we never thought of this before?! Making our /s/ sound cards THAT much more exciting by attempting a house of cards! This kiddo has the best little engineering mind, loves LEGO and is into all things construction ... so it seemed like a no brainer motivator! 💫👏🏼
