Kadampa Meditation Centre Perth is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union. The centre offers classes and courses for all levels of interest from basic meditation through to in-depth study of Buddha's teachings. Our emphasis is on practice - we aim to present the teachings in a very user friendly manner, appropriate to everyone whatever the circumstances of your modern life. On this page we will try to keep you up to date with things happening at the centre and also give you some inspiring and encouraging quotes, stories etc.

Bookings for the Australian Festival at Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia in the Dandenong ranges (2-7 January 2026) are now open!
💕 There has been a change of teacher - Gen Kelsang Sangden, who is originally from Northern Ireland, has studied under the guidance of internationally renowned Buddhist Master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years and is presently the Resident Teacher in Mexico City and is the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director for Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru & Colombia. Gen Sangden is an inspiring example of Modern Buddhism in practice. She is greatly appreciated for presenting the teachings with great clarity, joy, and insight, inspiring people from all walks of life to apply the practical advice and find inner peace and lasting happiness.

❤️ We are so happy to be celebrating 30 years of our centre this weekend, the first Kadampa Centre in Australia!
❤️ There are still a very few spots for Friday public talk and a couple for the Saturday workshop so please book now if you would like to join either of those.
❤️ We would love you to join us for Offering to Spiritual Guide puja and community party on Sunday - 10am - 12.30pm (free, no need to book)
