This time we are checking out the "PECTORAL" muscles of the body. These are the muscles associated with your chest area. 💪
These muscles are responsible for moving your upper body in a wide range of motions. Movements for this muscle can include flexion, adduction, internal rotation and stabilisation. 🏋️♀️
The pec major covers the majority of your chest area, whilst the pec minor is located beneath this. The serratus anterior muscles are located within the rib cage region. 🙌
Focusing on strengthening these muscles will benefit your posture, strength and stabilisation. You will find that they also need to time to recover, this is where massage therapy, stretching and other therapies like the cold water therapy can come into action. Like all other muscles in the body, they can be worked hard but they also need some TLC. 🔥
