This online LIVE workshop for families with a newborn at home. Psychologist Dianne Nash is the facilitator who aims to educate you about sleep biology to make sleep easier for the whole family. This is NOT sleep training or any kind of cry-it-out methodology.

This workshop aims to:

⭐️ teach you about the key biological drivers of sleep

⭐️emphasise the importance of cued care

⭐️highlight common myths about sleep

⭐️highlight the importance of sensory nourishment

⭐️educate about safe sleep

⭐️educate about night waking

⭐️educate about day sleep

⭐️support parents/ carers stress around sleep

⭐️discuss further supports that are available

There will be time for live Q&A throughout and at the end of the workshop, to make sure you’re not going away with more questions than answers.

Does your baby wake regularly over night? 💤
This can be so challenging, exhausting, and make many families feel like it will ‘never end’.

Help is available! You are also not alone. I often hear from parents who are having challenges with their little ones night waking. Although night waking is normal right into toddlerhood. Excessive night waking is not normal and can be a sign that your little one’s biological sleep regulators may need a reset.

Biological sleep regulators:
- body clock
- sleep pressure

This is an evidence based and science based approach. Dianne is an NDC practitioner ( Neuroprotective Developmental Care) and psychologist who is compassionate and understands how challenging it is navigating the conflicting advice parents receive.

Are you in the thick of it with a newborn struggling with sleep ? It can feel like it will never end!

Although you can’t teach a baby to sleep (no matter what anyone says)… there are some sleep suggestions that can help keep your babies biological sleep regulators healthy.

- sensory nourishment to support and build sleep pressure
- regular morning wake times (same time each day) to help with circadian clock
- day naps in the noise and daylight amongst the regular day to support circadian clock

Do you know about ?

This amazing initiative is for all new mothers and families in the Echuca and Moama region who have a new baby at home. Facilitated by Paediatric Nurse Caitlyn at Echuca Library each Wednesday afternoon 2-3:30pm during the school term. Each week there is time to connect with other families (2-3pm) and learn something from one of the scheduled guest speakers (3-3:30pm).

I am grateful to be apparat of this! I will be presenting on biological infant sleep tomorrow! 😴

Did you know the differences between emotional regulation and co-regulation?

Often we speak a lot about regulation. But there is a miss understanding that kids can regulate. Often we are not teaching regulation skills explicitly, instead we are focusing on co-regulation with our little ones. Teaching adults how to regulate and co-regulate with their kiddos. At times even as adults we are looking for someone to co-regulate with.
