headspace Echuca headspace is a confidential & free service where young people aged 12-25 can access a range of services . We are also a LGBTIQA+ inclusive service.

We are an inclusive centre with all areas providing disability access and gender neutral toilets.

🎄We will be taking a little break to recharge the batteries over the holiday period.☃

We'll be closed from 2pm on the 24th December 2025 until the 2nd of January 2026.

During this time, you can speak to someone 1-on-1 via online chat, email or over the phone at eheadspace.org.au or 1800 650 890.

If you are in an emergency or need immediate assistance please call 000.

Meet Jacqui - Mental Health Clinician 💚

Jacqui joined the headspace team in November 2025 and brings a genuine passion for understanding and supporting young people. She says, “I love getting to know our young people and what makes them who they are.”

To keep a healthy headspace, Jacqui enjoys unwinding with a good book, crocheting, and diving into a game of Dungeons & Dragons.

Meet Bec - Client Service Officer!

😁 Bec has been part of the headspace team for over a year, joining in April 2024. As one of the first friendly faces you see when walking through the door, she helps make headspace Echuca a welcoming and comfortable place for everyone who visits.

Before joining headspace, Bec worked as a nurse for almost eight years, bringing a wealth of care and compassion to her role.

Fun fact: While on holiday in Japan, Bec once tried crocodile meat — and says it tasted just like chicken!🐊

Meet Emily our Accredited Practising Dietitian🌼🍝

Emily has been working as a Dietitian for the past 7 years, and has been part of the headspace Echuca team for the past 2 years.

One of her favourite parts of working at headspace Echuca is getting to work with young people to help build positive relationships with food and their bodies. It’s so important to nourish and fuel our bodies and she loves being part of a team that is so passionate about promoting this within our community.

• What do you do to keep a healthy headspace? Chatting to someone I love each day - whether it’s a 5 minute chat or a 2 hour phone call, speaking to someone I love always manages to fill my cup.

• Hobbies? Since moving to the river I love walking along the river with a coffee in hand, but can’t go past a good book or a morning spent op shopping!

Today we marked a very special moment with Njernda, Echuca Engineering, and Bunnings as we unveiled our Indigenous community art project, ‘One headspace, many communities’ 🖤💛❤️

This project began at the start of 2025 with a vision to celebrate creativity, strengthen connection, and honour culture. Over six weeks, a group of inspiring young people brought that vision to life through their hard work, commitment, and talent.

We couldn’t be prouder to showcase the final piece.

A huge thank you to Bunnings, Donchis/Nullarbor Sustainable Timber & Joinery, and Anita from Echuca Engineering for their generous contributions. And an extra big thank you to Njernda Family Services for financially supporting this project and helping bring it to life.

Meet the Team - animated edition!💚🎨

Reannon has been part of the headspace team for 1.5 years, starting with a 6-month student placement before joining as a full-time clinician.

She says, “It can be so difficult being a young person sometimes, so getting to support young people is so rewarding!”

When she’s not supporting others, Reannon keeps her headspace healthy by staying active, going for walks, kicking the footy, or lifting weights at the gym.

Fun fact: Her dream pet is a lemur because she absolutely LOVES King Julian!

Young people aged 12-17 are invited to a night of music, dancing, face painting, photo booth fun, Just Dance competitions, giveaways, and free food and drinks. The event is safe, inclusive, drug and alcohol-free, and fully supervised.

Last week, R U OK? Day hosted a community BBQ at Hopwood Gardens, bringing everyone together for a day filled with connection, good food, and great conversations.

The headspace Echuca team joined alongside Lifeline and The Local Echuca, Mind Australia to support the events and remind everyone to check in with the people around them
