💠 Medical Receptionist required 💠
Elermore Vale Medical Centre is a family owned and operated fully accredited mixed billing practice established in 2023. Our facilities are spacious, clean and modern and we take great pride in supplying our doctors, nursing staff and allied health professionals with resources and the support they require to provide the highest levels of healthcare.
Are you a self-motivated, reliable, and committed individual with a passion for helping people? We are looking for a Medical Receptionist, part-time or casual role, to join our growing team.
About the Role:
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a friendly, welcoming and professional environment. This role is ideal for someone with flexibility. Availability to provide cover for holiday relief and personal leave is required.
Working hours: between 8.15am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 1.45pm on Saturday’s.
Your Responsibilities:
Greeting patients and managing front desk enquiries
Booking and managing appointments
Answering phones and handling patient enquiries
Processing billing and Medicare claims
Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records
Proficient in administrative tasks – scanning, faxing, mailing
Selection Criteria
Previous experience in General Practice Medical Reception is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided on the job
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Confident with computers and medical software - Best Practice & Hotdoc utilised
Ability to multitask effectively and remain calm under pressure
Possess strong organisational and time management skills
A team player with a positive attitude
National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)

Remuneration: $28 - $35 per hour plus superannuation
Please note, the hourly rate for the successful candidate will be contingent upon factors such as relevant experience, required upskilling and any necessary training. The listed rate is intended as a general guide only and may be adjusted in accordance with these criteria.
