💙 February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Did you know there is currently no early screening test for ovarian cancer? That’s why being aware of the symptoms is so important.

Common symptoms may include:
• Persistent bloating
• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Feeling full quickly
• Changes in urination

If something doesn’t feel right or symptoms are ongoing, book an appointment with your GP for a discussion. Early conversations can make a real difference.

School is back! Is your child fully prepared for the year ahead?

Now that the term has started, it’s a good time to check:

✔️ Do they need a sports clearance form completed?

🩺 Have you booked your skin check this year? ☀️

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, which is why regular skin checks are so important. Many skin cancers can be treated successfully when detected early, often before you even notice any symptoms.

✅ A skin check can help identify:
• New or changing spots
• Unusual moles or patches
• Early signs of skin cancer

Even if a spot doesn’t hurt or doesn’t look serious, it’s always worth having it checked.

📅 You can book a skin check at our clinic with one of our experienced GPs.
Your skin is always changing, so keep an eye on it and stay protected.

The EVMC team will be taking a short break over the Australia Day long weekend to spend time with family, friends, and loved ones to celebrate this public holiday.
The clinic will be CLOSED on Monday, 26th January 2026 and be back to normal operations on Tuesday, 27th January 2026.

If you require after hours emergency care please present to your nearest hospital emergency department. Alternatively, please call the National Home Doctor service on 13 SICK or 13 7425.
