Carisbrooke parkrun will be hosting a parkrun on Anzac Day, Saturday 25 April 2026.

Anzac Day carries profound significance for members of the Australian and New Zealand defence community. parkrun has a long-standing partnership with Invictus and Team Veterans who are encouraging individuals to choose what feels right for them. There is a shared understanding that people observe this day in their own unique ways, reflecting personal connections and preferences.

Commemoration may take the form of attending services, participating in marches, spending time with family, engaging in quiet reflection, or connecting with others through activities such as parkrun.

Our event team would like to recognise the sacrifices made by all service personnel (past and present) and their families which allow us to live in a free country and enjoy events like parkrun on a weekly basis. We recognise those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that others may live free.

We are planning on observing the day with a minute silence and respectfully request you arrive by 7.45am so that we can reflect on the day appropriately.
