Melanoma is serious type of skin cancer and if not treated early can be serious consequences.

It is very important to keep a regular eye out on your moles for any changes

Always check for the ABCD signs:

A for Asymmetry ( If the moles appears different)
B for Border( Out of shape border- appears irregular)
C for Colour ( Light brown to pink change around the original darker mole)
D for diameter (mole appears bigger)

This woman came in for a skin check especially for the one on her nose shown below. We removed the lesion and confirmed to be a Basal Cell Carcinoma short for BCC.

BCC is the most common type in Australia. It appears as a lump, a sore that doesn't heal on its own.

It may not be summer but it is very important to get a skin check yearly to prevent any further complications.
