Notice of Closure

It is with heavy heart that we announce as of 12 March, ResQ Training will cease operations.

This was not an easy decision and one that came after a great deal of thought and reflection.

All existing bookings will be honoured, and a limited number of classes are still available to book prior to this date.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every client, business, school, and community group who supported ResQ Training and trusted us with their training.

The connections, conversations, and shared commitment to safety have meant more than we can say.

Thank you for being part of our journey 🤍

We’re so excited to see this come together 👏

This has been a long time in the making with a lot of hard work and dedication behind the scenes, and we’re absolutely thrilled to see it come together.

We’re proud to be providing First Aid and CPR training on this site and being able to support local workplaces and be part of something that strengthens safety in our community means a lot to us.

This is a huge step forward in seeing AEDs introduced in underground coal mining, and it’s incredible to see safety continuing to move in the right direction.

Huge credit to everyone involved in making this happen.

A Queensland first! 😍

Earlier this month, our Oaky Creek operation introduced Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) into our underground operations.

Previously, AEDs were not permitted to be installed underground, but after months of work from several team members, including Colin Hoyle, Tony Armstrong and Mannie Coates, these are now approved!

Colin, an Engineering Superintendent at Oaky Creek led an industry-wide change by progressing a submission to the Recognised Standards Committee and Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ). As a result of this work, and for the first time in Queensland coal history, AEDs are now permitted to be permanently installed underground.

Congratulations to Colin and the team on their hard work to continue making our operations, and industry a safer place ❤️

CQ Locals - a timely reminder 🐍

Following a recent snake bite incident in Emerald, it’s important to remember that snakes are still active, even with the wet weather.

We currently have limited snake bite kits left in stock, now $20 (normally $25).

They’re a smart addition to have at home, in the car, or in the caravan, especially living and travelling in our region. You never know when you may need one.

📦 Very limited numbers available

2025 – Thank You from ResQ Training

To every business, school, mine site, childcare centre, sports club, parent, and community group who trusted ResQ Training this year, thank you for choosing to invest in safety, confidence, and getting everyone home safe.

This year has been a big one. Lots of training sessions, plenty of conversations, new faces, familiar faces, and plenty of moments that reminded me why I love what I do. I’ve been lucky enough to work with so many incredible people who genuinely care about looking after their teams, families, and communities.

ResQ Training has never been about ticking a box. It’s about giving people the confidence to step in, knowing what to do when it really matters, and feeling supported every step of the way.

Thank you for supporting a local, family-run business and for being part of the ResQ community. I’m so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me and I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.

💙 Jess

Meet our new Female CPR manikin!

We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to our ResQ Training courses. Because first aid training should reflect the real world.

Did you know that research shows women are less likely to receive bystander CPR than men, often due to fears around “inappropriate touching”? That hesitation can cost valuable time in an emergency.

CPR is not inappropriate, it is life-saving care. Everyone deserves the same chance when it matters most.

By training with female CPR manikins, we’re helping to:
• build confidence
• reduce hesitation
• normalise performing CPR on women
• make sure everyone gets the help they need

Now for the fun part…
We’re looking for a name for her.
