If you are impacted by the Victorian Bushfires, DPV Health can assist in managing your health and wellbeing during this difficult time.
With a range of specialised Mental Health services, Medical Clinics and Allied Health support services, DPV Health will prioritise access in order to give you the urgent care that you need.
Important Health & Wellbeing Tips:
- Tank Water: After a fire, tank water may be unsafe due to contamination. If it looks, smells, or tastes unusual, do not drink it, use it for food prep, or give it to animals. Use bottled water instead.
- Air Quality: Smoke can affect your breathing. If you feel chest tightness or trouble breathing, call 000 immediately. Stay indoors, close windows, and seek medical advice if concerned.
- Staying Cool During Power Outages: Wear loose clothing, drink water, and use cool showers or damp cloths. Visit air-conditioned spaces if needed.
- Mental Health & Wellbeing: Feeling stressed or anxious is normal. Support is available, talk to someone and stay connected by making an appointment with our Mental Health team or visit the Lifeline Support Toolkit for practical tips and resources to help you cope. Access the link below.
