Celebrating Arabic Language Day!
Today, we celebrate the beauty, depth, and global influence of the Arabic language — a language spoken by millions and cherished for its cultural and historical significance. World Arabic Language Day is celebrated annually on December 18th, established by UNESCO in 2012 to recognize the Arabic language's vital role in cultural diversity and global knowledge, marking the day in 1973 when Arabic became the sixth official language of the United Nations. It highlights Arabic's vast influence on fields like philosophy, science, and art, spoken by over 400 million people and used across many countries, with celebrations focusing on promoting multilingualism and Arabic's modern relevance.
As one of the world’s oldest and most widely spoken languages, Arabic has shaped art, science, literature, and philosophy for centuries.
