Gong hei fat choy.

It’s the Year of the Fire Horse — strong, driven energy.

I’ve recorded a Fire Horse practice that builds inner fire and helps you ground it.

Chair & mat options available.

The full session premieres on YouTube today.

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”
~ Lao Tzu

This feels timely.

As we enter the Lunar New Year, the Fire Horse carries drive, creativity and forward momentum, while Nature offers a gentle reminder that even powerful energy can unfold steadily.

🔥

In classes from 16–21 February, we’ll be working with that energy consciously — building strength and intention, gathering what we need, and releasing what doesn’t serve — all while staying grounded and steady.

Not wild fire.
Not hurried fire.
A flame directed with care.

And on Sunday 22 February, our first community class for the year offers space to practise this together — open to all and pay-what-you-wish 💛

** TAMING THE FIRE 🔥**

There’s been a subtle shift in my energy this week.

A spark ✨

Some of those big ideas from the start of the year?
I’m seeing them begin to root and sprout 🌱

I’m feeling engaged.
Excited.
Driven.

And I know myself well enough to recognise this kind of fire 🔥

I want to do everything at once.
I’m like a dog with a bone — the “ALL” part of the all-or-nothing girl.

And it’s exhausting.

But fire is best when it’s contained.

So for now, I’m practising tending the flame 🔥

Not dimming it.
Not fuelling it wildly.
Just holding it with care 🤲

Resting.
Setting boundaries.
Asking for help.

And as we move toward a new lunar cycle next week 🌙
this feels like the lesson —

Not how to ignite the fire,
but how to tame it.

More on that soon.

🔥

⏸️ PAUSE. SOFTLY RESET. ▶️

At the end of a year, I always feel tired but this year my sense of tiredness and overwhelm seems to have arrived even earlier than I expected. 2026 started fast, my intentions were big, and some of those plans have already slipped. 😔

My mind says, "Do more." My body says, "Please rest."

If that feels familiar, maybe this month's community class is for you. For 75 minutes, you don't have to think so hard or push so much—just move, breathe, and simply be. As with all my classes, practise from a chair, or the mat, or a combination of both. 😊

With the Lunar New Year beginning, we'll invoke the spirit of the Fire Horse: moving, breathing, and resting to open and ground ourselves for the year ahead. 🔥🐎

🌑 COMMUNITY YOGA – Fire Horse flair 🐦‍🔥

📅 Sunday 22 February, 4:00–5:15 pm AEDT
📍 Epping (Boronia Grove Community Centre) + Online via Zoom
💲 Pay what you wish — $5 suggested, all welcome.

This kicks off my Autumn community series, a seasonal space to slow down, let go, and tend to your energy as the year unfolds. 🍂

🌸 GENTLE BEGINNINGS 🌱

I can’t believe it’s the start of another new year. 😐

This new year doesn’t feel like a hard reset for me, but a soft unfolding. I’m coming out of a year that was messy and challenging, full of changes, and lessons in boundaries—learning how to protect my energy even when that meant I couldn’t be as present for everyone as I wanted to be. 😔

Before rushing into plans and intentions, I’ve been sitting with the year that’s just passed and noticing what has nourished me: the support of family, friends and this community; the shared laughter and light; and the quiet words of encouragement during the harder moments. ❤️ I’m going into this new year grateful, still learning, and hoping to continue creating a welcoming space to support everyone who wishes to join us. 🙏

Wishing you a gentle beginning to the year ahead. May it be filled with peace, kindness, hope and good health. ✨

May this Christmas bring moments of quiet reflection and tenderness, as well as joy and laughter. ✨

Wishing you all a gentle, peaceful Christmas and a new year of good health, hope and kindness. 🙏

💛 GO GENTLY 🌿

Our end-of-year get-together on Monday was touched by the Bondi Beach tragedy.
Some of us were tired, some of us were grieving, some just needed a “morning with the girls” to feel a little less alone. 💛
We paused, then shook ourselves off and turned to brighter thoughts—our way of celebrating our year and our community.
Non-attachment doesn’t mean not caring; it means holding space for all of it.

I heard from a number of people about how precious our little yoga community is.
“It’s not just the yoga—it’s the wonderful group of people you’ve brought together.”
For that, I’m deeply grateful. 🙏

As we head into the break, I’m reminded of my LovingKindness wishes:
“May all be happy.
May all be healthy.
May all be safe and loved.
May all have peace in their lives.”

Classes are now on pause for a little rest—we’ll gather again in the new year.

Take gentle care of yourselves and each other. 🌿

😌 DOING NOTHING 🙏

Have you tried intentionally “doing nothing” each day this week?

I’m trying to do at least 10 minutes a day and this is what my week looked like.

I'm struggling. 😔

As the year draws to an end, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and tired, challenged to find balance amid so many demands pulling at me. But I’m learning to be gentle with myself—taking small steps towards healing through restorative yoga and gradual changes to my diet. It’s not always easy to ask for help, but I’m reminded that growth is fragile and requires patience. 💖

And I need to learn that I can’t do everything! 🙇🏽‍♀️

If you’re feeling the same, remember it’s okay to begin where you are, practise self-compassion, and keep moving forward one tiny step at a time. 🚶‍♀️

What small step are you taking today to be kind to yourself? 💬
