Finishing cancer treatment is huge - but it doesn't mean your body will instantly go back to how it felt before.

Many people still experience fatigue, stiffness, swelling, nerve changes or scar-related tightness months (even years) later. This is completely valid and incredibly common.

Cancer rehab helps you continue to heal: physically, functionally and emotionally.

And you deserve support for all of that, not just during active treatment.

Visit www.crls.au to learn more about Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions and how we're supporting cancer patients on the Central Coast and beyond.

I am so proud of my amazing friend and very talented hairdresser/colourist/hairstylist, on creating the most beautiful salon, . Congratulations my friend ❤️.
I met Elly back 2010 as my first hairdresser in Sydney, following her progress and moves ever since. She is a legend in her craft, taking pride in her work. has thought, creativity, inspiration and an owner’s passion poured in to make this quite the classy, welcoming space. I absolutely love it Elly, and so happy for you!

If you haven’t found “the one” hairdresser, then I highly recommend locking in with Elly.

If you’ve had surgery this year and your scar still feels tight, lumpy, sensitive or “pulling,” MLS Laser Therapy may help.

And if surgery is planned, it's highly recommended to commence photobiomodulation therapy (PBMt) with the MLS Laser within one week post-surgery for a faster recovery and a better healing surgical site.

MLS Laser is a powerful, non-invasive therapy that starts healing below the surface of the skin. It supports:
✨ Softer, more mobile scar tissue
✨ Reduced redness and thickening
✨ Improved comfort and range of motion
✨ Faster healing of sensitive areas

Scars don’t just change how skin looks - they can affect movement, lymphatic flow, and everyday comfort. A combined course of MLS Laser and hands-on scar mobilisation techniques can make a noticeable difference.

When you’re recovering from cancer or navigating ongoing treatment, even the smallest tasks can feel overwhelming. And that pressure to do more - to eat better, move more, rest more - can actually make you feel more stressed.

That’s why we focus on support that feels doable. Gentle. Achievable.

Start with some light movement – no intensity required.

How about a soothing lymphatic treatment with our team?

You can even kickstart your recovery by lying down! A 15-minute session of red light therapy in our Prism Light Pod can help ease fatigue, improve circulation and support your healing.

These little moments matter.
They add up.
And they help you feel more like you again.

Call (02) 4312 7033 to learn more about our services, or book your light pod session online: https://crls.au/services/red-light-therapy-central-coast

A special part of Kate’s trip to Moama was supporting Les - a family friend navigating ongoing effects of cancer treatment, including radiation fibrosis and cording.

Les travelled seven hours to see Kate at Dr Matthew McLindon’s clinic after experiencing ongoing pain from radiation fibrosis and cording following treatment for an SCC on his left shoulder. His cancer care included surgery, a neck lymph node dissection, and 30 fractions of radiation.

Les and his wife Sandi have been through more than most, including losing their home in the East Gippsland fires on the very day his radiation treatment first began, four years ago. When Les reached out for help with new symptoms, Kate made the trip to Moama to treat him directly and ensure the team at Clinical Laser Therapy Australia could continue supporting him moving forward. Over four days, Kate provided multiple sessions and worked closely with Dr Matthew and his practitioners to build a long-term plan for Les' care.

We’re grateful to Les and Sandi for trusting us and for sharing their story to help others understand what compassionate, evidence-based cancer rehabilitation can look like.

Kate has just returned from a meaningful few days in regional Victoria, where she spent time with Dr Matthew McLindon and the team at Clinical Laser Therapy Australia in Moama. She delivered specialist education in using MLS® Laser for cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema management, sharing clinical skills and increasing their knowledge of treating complex post-treatment side effects.

The visit also included a special invitation from Echuca Regional Health's Cancer & Wellness Centre to meet their oncology & lymphoedema teams. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss complex cases, and ensure patients across the region can benefit from safe, effective, and up-to-date cancer rehab treatments.

"Expanding knowledge and sharing techniques - this is how we grow access to high-quality cancer rehabilitation across Australia," says Kate. "The more we can educate and support clinicians, the more patients will receive the care they deserve, closer to home."

We're proud of this partnership and the impact it will have for regional communities.

What an honour!

Kate Perkins and Dr Catherine Norton have been internationally recognised by Asalaser for their pioneering work in cancer rehabilitation using MLS® Laser Therapy.

The OncoLaser approach - developed right here in Australia - was highlighted in an article exploring how photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) can help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

As Kate says:
“We’re so fortunate to be guided by robust clinical research and able to translate it into a treatment model that delivers real results for people recovering from cancer.”

Thanks ASA Laser for your continued support.

The number of oncology rehab programs in Australia has more than doubled in the past 10 years - but currently, only 1 in 65 cancer survivors can access them. That’s a huge gap in care, and we’re working hard to close it.

We're continuing to grow our services to support more people living with cancer, both on the Central Coast and beyond.

We offer specialised treatment plans for those travelling from out of area, and Kate Perkins trains allied health teams across the country in the OncoLaser protocol - helping to raise the standard of care nationwide.

Every person deserves access to expert support that helps them recover better, faster, and with fewer side effects. We’re proud to be part of that change.
