The week between Christmas and New Year can feel strange - especially if you’re recovering from cancer treatment. While everyone else seems to be bouncing back, your body might still be tired, swollen and sore.

If this time of year feels heavy, you’re not alone.
And you don’t need to put your recovery on hold.

Our team is here with gentle support options, including:
- Manual lymphatic drainage
- MLS Laser for swelling, pain & post-treatment discomfort
- Practical guidance if you’ve overdone it a little (easy to do at Christmas!)
- Space to breathe, rest and reset

If you need support this week, reach out. It's exactly why we're staying open!

I would like to celebrate my team.. they have a smile for everyone who walks through the door, no matter what is happening externally. They support the clinic when I step out, and keep things rolling without missing a beat. I love going to work with these incredible people everyday.

Ainsley is now a fully qualified paramedic, flying high in her new career..but always part of this work family.

Amy has added to her family with number 3. We will see her again in 2026!

Michelle brings her A game and awesome sense of humour on a daily basis.

Caitlin is now an Advanced Lymphoedema Practitioner, having completed the HNL qualification, presented for the first time at the Lipoedema Australia Conference, led GP education sessions, and has developed into a phenomenal clinician.

You would have seen Eva and Charlize as well, coming on board to join the team in the latter half of the year. Fitting in perfectly.

I am grateful to all of them. Thank you all for a sensational 2025 xx

Summer can be tough for anyone living with lymphoedema. Heat, humidity, long car trips, salty swims… they can all make swelling feel more noticeable and harder to manage.

A few gentle reminders as temps rise...
💧 Stay hydrated: your lymphatic system needs fluid to move fluid
🧴 Look after your skin: moisturise daily and protect against cuts, bites and sunburn
🧦 Wear your garments: especially on hot or active days
🚶‍♀️ Keep moving: light, regular movement can reduce congestion and increase lymphatic function
🧊 Cool down: fans, cool showers and avoiding direct heat where possible all make a difference

If you notice increasing swelling, heaviness, tightness, or discomfort, you don’t have to wait it out.

Call us on (02) 4312 7033 to book an appointment for manual lymphatic drainage, MLS laser, compression advice and more.

Finishing cancer treatment is huge - but it doesn't mean your body will instantly go back to how it felt before.

Many people still experience fatigue, stiffness, swelling, nerve changes or scar-related tightness months (even years) later. This is completely valid and incredibly common.

Cancer rehab helps you continue to heal: physically, functionally and emotionally.

And you deserve support for all of that, not just during active treatment.
