TMJ disorder can cause a variety of symptoms, many of which may not seem directly related to the jaw. Because of this, it’s common for people to be unaware that their discomfort is linked to the temporomandibular joint.
Common symptoms of TMJ disorder include:
Headaches
Dizziness
Clicking or popping sensation in the jaw
Difficulty opening and closing the mouth
Difficulty biting, chewing, and/or swallowing
Back pain
Face pain
Ear pain/stuffiness
Neck ache
Fatigue
Shoulder pain
Numbness in the arms and/or fingers
