In this game especially mental health and addiction recovery I say there is the 80/20 rule.
80% of the time it’s a hard slog that tests your resolve as a support worker that really makes you question whether you are making a difference at all.
Then there’s the 20% which when it happens and everything falls in place makes up for the 80%
My Mate Jake is that 20%
Today I had the pleasure and privilege to award him his 12 month sobriety Coin.
I have had the privilege to walk with Jake from the lowest of lows to this amazing day where he has grown to be a true inspiration as a person.
 This is not a glowing indictment of my support rather the opposite.
This is a milestone showing how strong and resilient Jake has been over the past 12 months .
Well done, Jake. I am extremely proud.
And I am looking forward to the next 12 months .

This capture is one that will stick with me for a very long time!
Not only is it a absolute slab of a Murray Cod but the Angler Brodie earned every single bit of it!
Brodie has put in countless hours fishing and asking countless questions about the feeding and behaviours of native fish but today he went full circle.
From start to finish he earned every single part of this fish.
We started off early baiting yabby pots and working traps until we managed a big bucket of bait sized yabbies.
Then we systematically worked fish holding structure with great patience until his yabby was inhaled by this big green tank with a no holds barred fight in heavy cover that resembled a cage fight.
To say it was a epic capture would be a understatement.
Well done Brodie this will take some beating
