Did you know that over a third of chronic disease is preventable yet we only spent 1.3% of the health budget on preventing disease?? 😱😱😱

Did you also know that over 50% of Australians and kiwis suffer from chronic illness and that’s up from 2/5 people 10 years ago.
(This includes things like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, asthma, mental health and dementia)

Isn’t that terrifying not only for us, but the generations to come?

We need to start treating people with prevention, not treating dis-ease symptoms.

The system has to change, and only we can make that happen, one by one, we can create change.

👉 Long lean stalks of celery look just like our bones and they are good for them too! Celery contains a good source of silicon which helps make up the molecular structure of our bones and gives them strength!

👉1 Long stalk of celery contains 26mg of the essential mineral calcium for strong bones
Calcium is one of the most prevalent minerals found in bone. Its role in osteoporosis management is undeniable, and even the mainstream medical community recommends calcium supplements to their osteoporosis patients

👉A large stalk of celery contains 18.8mcg of vitamin K

Did you know the NUMBER 1 reason why traditional diets don’t work is because of lack of motivation and staying on track?

You get all these amazing looking books and recipes and it’s all going to be great, but towards the end of week one, the cravings are there and lack of willpower increases, and before you know it, there are the books collecting dust on the bookcase, or way down the list in your emails.

As a health coach, it is my job to keep you accountable, to hold your hand every step of the way through the good and bad.

Did you know, only 10% of people will ask for a second opinion when it comes to their health? And out of that 10% 1 in 3 people will have a more desirable outcome.

The other 90% don’t because of insecurity and how it will look if you question them.

That’s bloody scary!

We’re all living the one life that we get and just taking one persons response to ‘the problem’. This is a scary thought, don’t always trust what you hear the first time, go with your gut and ask more questions and for other opinions.

It’s your body, don’t be afraid to stand up for it ❤️

Every year I like to think of one word that is going to be my focus for the year.

2018 was SIMPLIFY - simplifying life, work, my thoughts, how I do things...every area. It helped a lot and allowed me to really hone into what was important to me. It’ll still be something I work on in 2019, but as we close out this year I’m excited to get my new word, my new focus!

If you had one word to sum up 2018 (in a positive way) what would it be?
