❤️🔥 Saturday 8th November @9:30am, Shadow&Light Sharing Space, Evans Head.
November’s theme is Fire: Transformation and Inner Light — the perfect energy to burn away what’s no longer serving you and reconnect with your inner spark before the year wraps up.
If you’ve been craving space to breathe, soften and reignite your energy, this is your sign to join us. A grounding, heart-centred class to release the old, welcome the new, and feel that quiet power glowing from within. ✨

Float between worlds in this guided journey through rest, awareness, and the subtle spaces in between.
As your body softens into stillness, your mind drifts through layers of consciousness — where seeds of intention can be planted and healing, clarity, and peace naturally rise to the surface.
Yoga Nidra guides your brain into theta and delta states — the same frequencies we reach in deep sleep and meditation. In this space, the nervous system recalibrates, cortisol drops, and the body moves into natural repair mode. You leave feeling lighter, more balanced, and deeply connected to both body and spirit. ✨
No effort, no striving. Just a slow unwinding into presence.
Join me under soft cosmic light and let your nervous system exhale. 🌙
Next Yoga Nidra classes is Saturday 8th of November.

✨ Only 3 spaces left ✨
Join me this Saturday at 9:30am for October’s Yoga Nidra class — a deeply restful guided journey themed around the element of Ether and the colour Lavender.
This month, we explore connection, intuition and cosmic awareness under the theme:
“Listening to the Stars” — unity and spaciousness. We invite a soft expansion beyond the physical, where the mind quiets, the heart opens, and awareness touches something vast and timeless.
Expect a calming, transcendental experience that draws you into your inner vastness — a reminder of your connection to everything and
a gentle reminder that you are not separate, you are part of the infinite.
🪐 3 spaces remain — reserve your place in this tranquil journey inward..
Yoga Nidra, often called yogic sleep, is a deeply restorative practice that guides you into a state between wakefulness and dreaming — where the body fully relaxes and the mind softens into stillness.
In this sacred space, layers of tension melt away, nervous system balance is restored, and deep healing can unfold.
A single session can feel like hours of rest, supporting clarity, peace, and a profound sense of coming home to your true self.

After class on Saturday I was asked if Yoga Nidra is like hypnosis, which was a fantastic observation. The answer is yes and no…..
✨Yoga Nidra vs Hypnosis✨
At first glance, yoga nidra can look a lot like hypnosis — both involve lying down, eyes closed, with someone guiding you into a very relaxed state. But while they share some similarities, especially in how the brain responds, they’re not quite the same thing.
In hypnosis, the aim is usually to create change in behaviour or thought patterns by working directly with the subconscious mind.
Yoga nidra, on the other hand, is a meditative practice that gently shifts your brain from busy beta waves (normal waking activity) into slower alpha and theta waves. Alpha is that dreamy daydream state, while theta is the same in-between space you naturally move through right before sleep — when the body feels heavy, the mind drifts, and you’re highly suggestible. This is why yoga nidra can feel like you “fell asleep and woke up at the end,” even if you weren’t actually asleep.
This deep, receptive state is also why yoga nidra works so beautifully with a sankalpa (your heartfelt intention). Just like
suggestions in hypnosis are absorbed by the subconscious, your sankalpa lands in the fertile soil of the theta state. The difference?
In hypnosis, a suggestion is usually given to you. In yoga nidra, you’re planting your own seed of truth — a powerful, self-directed reminder of who you want to be and how you want to live.
On top of that, resting in alpha and theta
calms the nervous system. The body moves out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest, lowering stress hormones, balancing the heart rate, soothing the breath, and releasing tension. With regular practice, this not only leaves you feeling deeply restored after each session, but also strengthens your resilience, emotional balance, and overall wellbeing in daily life.
I hope this helps for those of you interested in the how and why Yoga Nidra works 🌙

Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that invites you to rest deeply—no movement, no effort, just lying down and being gently led into a state of profound relaxation. Through stages like body scanning, breath awareness, visualisation, and setting a heartfelt intention, Yoga Nidra helps calm the mind and soothe the nervous system. ✨ I need your help! ✨
I’ve had some eye pillows made here locally in Evans Head ( )
I’ve filled them with;
✨Flaxseed,
✨Lavender flowers for relaxation,
✨Rose petals for mood upliftment,
✨Amethyst for clarity & focus (third eye chakra),
✨Rose Quartz for love (heart chakra),
✨Lapis Lazuli for self expression (throat chakra)
So they smell and feel amazing!💗
Ive done up a couple of testers, tie dye love heart design, I want to hear your opinion.
Should I do all of them in tie dye (but they would be more colorful), or keep them in the plain white cheesecloth?
Let me know what you think ❤️🔥

For over 10 years I’ve worked in the photographic industry, photographing weddings, families, schools, sports, commercial and anything in between. This is what i always wanted to do growing up, i would always take the photos on family holidays and started studying photography at high school. I am still currently working within the photographic industry and also still run my own photography business.
But about 1.5 years ago i felt a change, i started studying online again ( Diploma in Vegan Nutrition, Diploma in Medical cannabis and CBD oil, and currently a Magical herbalism Diploma.) and also started doing my Reiki Masters in person as well as an extended pranayama class. From there I’ve attended various new events for me, Yin culture club and philosophy, Meditation classes, Tarot card lessons, basket weaving, and plant mediation and exploration.
I then discovered what i already knew, my connection with the land and plants, more than just being vegan. I started working with herbs, plants and oils. Utilizing the natural wealth of the plant life we have around us. I’ve always felt a close affinity to plants and trees, Fern Gully was a very poignant movie for me as a child. Coming from a very physically hard life living with various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions i had already gathered loads of knowledge on using natural products and making my oil serums and products to limit the toxins used on my skin.
But now I’m shifting from the practical uses of plants and oils to the more spiritual uses applying my practical knowledge along the way. For example Aloe Vera can be used of luck and protection, as well as being soothing and hydrating for the skin. Basil can be used for wealth, love and protections, as well as make a mean pesto. Its also about learning and connecting with the spirit of the plant, and how it connect within the human body.
I want to share the power of plants with you all, I’m here to create a link between you and the plant world, lets connect back to nature.
