Temple and Remedy is now mobile in Melbourne and Ballarat 💞 will miss being in this space with my dear friends Tammy and Drew but wish them Godspeed and Blessings on their new adventures 💞

As many of you know today marks the day we close our doors and let go of the beautiful physical site of Whole Being Health Collective in Naarm.

So proud of the beautiful space and community that Drew and Tammy's co dreaming ignited and so wonderful to end this chapter on an absolute high.

So very very grateful to the community that have supported the growth of us and our practices and the incredible practitioners that shared the space and their hearts too.

A special celebration of Maddie Trezise - Temple & Remedy - who was with us the whole way. Her magic infused into the physical and heart space of the practice. Will miss working so closely with you!!!

Gumbaynggyirr country is calling us and in less than 2 weeks we start not a new chapter, but a whole new book for us and our family lives. A place and space to be with our co dreaming process workers and live on our earth spot. And have the space and support to dive deeper into our love and practice and learning of Process Oriented Psychology and unfold this next adventure for us and the community.

Tammy will continue to work with her current clients on zoom and Drew is offering his Somatic Insight sessions online as well as doing regular drop ins for face to face work in Naarm, Byron, and finding his practice space in Gumbaynggyirr country too.

This is a moment to dream boldy and beautifully and communally and see what unfolds next for ourselves, our family and the community. Our hunch is our love, learning, and diving deeply into Process Oriented Psychology is going to have a lot to do with it 💗💗💗

We feel so grateful for all your love, cheering and trusting of us. Thanks to each of you who have celebrated and supported this big change for us xx

And so much gratitude to the incredible Daisy and Toby for the huge and generous role they are playing in making this adventure possible and for joining us in this big unfolding!

I have a confession… I have come to feel turned off by the wellness industry and the constant hamster wheel of healing- especially as a business model… controversial I know- the noise around it has given me the ick now for a while… maybe it’s social media? Maybe it’s people with very little experience and training claiming so much space and offering things they cannot hold. I am almost 15 years down the road of my own practitioner journey, so am very particular about what gets me excited and what I’m willing to engage my time and energy in…
The doula path I walked for two years burnt me out quite quickly and completely over saturated my ability to work full time in a care role any longer. It also massively healed some deep toxic relationship patterns and my own birth trauma- So I feel at peace with that. The person I am now is a person that supports rites of passage, birth, death and beyond and I believe this sacred work is a path I will always walk in one way or another.
After that burnout and the big move to Ballarat I have spent the last year nourishing and growing a part of myself that had been waiting in the wings for 20 years… my artist. A boundary I created in that love for myself was that I was going to keep my healing work in Melbourne and not take that with me to Ballarat. It has been a good decision and a potent one but as I have done this my fire and desire for Temple and Remedy has waned. It has also been difficult to manage reduced days and the amount of last minute cancellations I have been getting which is so tricky to negotiate. I have been watching this space waiting to see what to do. There is a part of me that wants to pause it to rest or even close it. Which is hilarious because as soon as I admitted that to myself this spark reignited in me for my own wellbeing evolution and I am finally again inspired and activated in that space!! Can I get a f*(k yeah! To grow and learn and evolve and share the treasures I find. I am setting my sights on working with .mana.movement and sinking my teeth into some level up steak… so yeah that’s my update. Looking forward to sharing more here soon. Love always x Maddison

Truth bomb 💣 I took the mini pill for 25 days until I felt the most intense inter uterine/cervical pain/ cramping I’ve ever felt (more intense than labour pain).

If you know me you know that I often do the opposite of what I have come to believe to be true sometimes just to check in that it’s actually still true for me and to always try to be in full integrity and presence with my beliefs and values. And of course as I thought it would never happen that I would take the pill again (after having a rough time on it for the brief time I took it in my late teens and all my understanding of female health) here I was finding reason to take it again. The personal reasons were that I was feeling an intense sense of desire in my body to have another baby and my hormonal experience of that was causing some difficulty in my relationship. To touch the desire piece of it in intimacy my partner and I decided I would give the progesterone based mini pill a try. The pill I was on contained the oral progestogen levonorgestrel in a very low dose. The continuous daily ingestion of 0.03mg levonorgestrel prevents conception in several independent ways. Mainly, there are changes in the cervical mucus which make the migration and ascent of s***m difficult or block it entirely. Ok so here was my experience of the side effects over the 25 days, abridged ~ I experienced dizziness, nausea, hot flushes, intense ni**le tenderness, reduce in libido (not heaps maybe 20%) some dryness, pimples, massive mood swings and then a general drop in energy and joy, and then of course on day 25 intense pain, cramping and heaviness in my womb space. That was the final signal. Body says no. I can already feel my body realigning today after not having it for one day though I’m experiencing hormonal headaches currently. Wow. Yep ok so it is as fu**ed as I remember. I cannot actually fathom how readily we ingest this toxic stuff as a society and wonder the effect it is having especially if people with female reproductive systems are taking this from a young age. We need to be so much more aware of how toxic pharmaceutical products can be, and how much they can affect our health and wellbeing… cont below
