Cosmetic Acupuncture involves the insertion of very tine needles into acupuncture points, fine line,
wrinkles and around areas of discolouration on the face. The technique increases blood circulation,
collagen production and muscle tone. The effect varies based on age and the nature of the problems being
addressed but most patients usually notice improvements in their appearance after anywhere from 3 to 10
sessions. A patient's overall health is assessed in the initial session and other acupuncture points are
subsequently used to increase general health and this can also reflect in the appearance of the face.

Acupuncture has been used for many years to assist people in quitting smoking and other addictions.
Many of the points that are used are located on the external ears, these are stimulated with fine needles in
order to regulate endorphin activity in the nervous system and help to bring about a reduction in the
frequency and severity of ni****ne cravings. Patients usually have at least one weekly treatment for a few
weeks while their bodies adjust to the absence of ni****ne.
Even when smokers are no longer physically addicted to ni****ne there can be a a strong urge to smoking
in certain social, stressful or even familiar situations where to***co feels absent. It is very important to
address these triggers consciously and develop a plan for dealing with them should they arise.
Daniel Gibbs has assisted hundreds of people to quit smoking with the use of a combination of
acupuncture, personalised habit analysis, post smoking trigger and lifestyle planning and the use of
various Chinese herbs and supplements when necessary.

Daniel brings a wealth of experience to our humble little practice.

He has been practicing Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Remedial Massage since 2005. He has experience in treating a wide range of conditions and has specialised in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

He is currently available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

We finally got to use our coworkers Xmas gift. An awesome day out thanks to .me
We visited the wonderful towns of Trentham, Kyneton, Woodend and finished at Hanging Rock on our foodie scavenger hunt.
Picked up some beautiful local produce on the way.
We are very lucky in Melbourne to have all of that on our doorstep.

There are some very sweaty “tech” gurus at Optus right now.

Update at 10:15 am

Like many we are affected by the Optus outage. Internet and phone services are down at the practice. We are able to access our patient list and notes. No payments can be processed at this time.
I wouldn’t want to be the “tech” person at Optus today!
