Making Childcare More Affordable: The CCS 3 Day Guarantee Explained

From 5 January 2026, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) activity test is changing, and eligible families will have access to at least 72 hours a fortnight of subsidised child care per child.

This helps more children access early childhood education and school-aged care, gives families cost-of-living relief, and removes barriers that made quality care harder to access in the past.

At Fair Foundations, we’re here to walk alongside families offering practical support, guidance, and understanding when it’s needed most.

Through our Parent Support Hub, families can access short-term, one-on-one support that’s free of judgment. We offer parenting strategies, information, and referrals to help you find the right resources and support for your family.

For families going through a challenging time or who need longer-term support, our Case Management team works alongside you to help you navigate challenges, set goals, and build stability. We provide personalised assistance, resources, and advocacy to help your family thrive. When additional help is needed, we can connect you with specialist supports such as mental health services, counselling, or emergency relief.

Whether you need advice, a listening ear, or help navigating challenges, we’re here to help you find the support that fits your family.

It’s where you can build confidence,learn practical skills, and take part in activities that make each day meaningful, in your own way and at your own pace.

Our flexible day program runs Monday to Saturday, 9:30am–2:30pm, with options like cooking, art, fitness, and community outings.

If you’re 12 to 14 years old and live in the Fairfield area, the Lead the Way Youth Camp is your opportunity to build confidence, strengthen your leadership skills, and discover your resilience in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What you’ll experience:
- Outdoor adventures including archery, go-kart racing, and the giant swing
- Leadership and resilience workshops led by experienced youth facilitators
- Activities that strengthen teamwork, communication, and wellbeing
- Comfortable accommodation, healthy meals, and transport – all provided
