Extra homework support for primary school students.

Our free Homework Club runs at 5 locations and is open to all primary school students in Years 1 to 6. An educator is there to support students with their homework, answer questions, and guide them if they get stuck.

It gives students the opportunity to complete their homework in a calm, supportive space before going home. With guidance from an educator, they can finish their work, feel more confident, and enjoy their afternoon knowing their homework is done.

That can mean starting school without the stability many children take for granted.

Fairfield City Council is developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) 2026–2030, and community voices are essential in shaping it.

The plan will guide how Council improves access, inclusion and participation so that people with disability, families, carers and the wider community can take part in all aspects of life across Fairfield.

Council is inviting feedback from community members, people with disability, carers, disability service providers and organisations supporting people with disability in Fairfield.

There are several ways to participate:
• Community survey: closes19 April 2026
• Community & service provider workshop: 19 March 2026, 10am–12pm
• Focus groups
• One-on-one interviews

Your lived experience can help shape a more accessible and inclusive Fairfield.

At the end of January, a group of young people aged 12-14 took part in the Lead the Way youth camp — a safe and supportive space to build confidence, try new things, and connect with others.

Through teamwork, challenges, and shared experiences, many participants discovered strengths they didn’t know they had. Some arrived unsure and quiet. By the end of the camp, they felt more confident, included, and motivated. These moments matter, because they help young people build resilience and see new possibilities for their future.

Did you know Fairfield has the lowest levels of digital inclusion in Greater Sydney?

That can mean struggling to apply for jobs, access services or help children complete schoolwork.

Fair doesn’t mean the same. It means everyone has what they need to succeed because postcode should never determine potential.

Together, we can build fairer futures.
