🎶 Music in the Burbs – Madora Bay! 🌴

The City of Mandurah’s Music in the Burbs is back this weekend, and this time it’s heading to Madora Bay! 🌊🎸

Bring your friends, family, picnic rug (and maybe your best dance moves 💃) for a relaxed afternoon of live local music and good vibes.

We’re excited to share that Midway Community Care will be hosting the Chill Zone – a welcoming space for everyone to unwind, connect, and enjoy the tunes in a sensory-friendly environment. 🧘‍♀️🎵

💙 World Diabetes Day 💙
Today we shine a light on diabetes — a condition that affects millions of people across the world, including many in our own community.

Diabetes and well-being is the theme for 2025, with the focus on 'Diabetes and the workplace'.
With appropriate access to care and support, everyone with diabetes has the chance to live well.

What can we do?
• Learn the signs and symptoms
• Encourage regular check-ups
• Make space for open, respectful conversations
• Support people to manage their health, their way

Small acts of understanding can make a big difference.

Looking for a fun way to connect with nature and try something new? The City of Mandurah is hosting a series of Paddle-Trails to Nature – All Ability Come & Try Sessions 🚣‍♀️✨

This inclusive event invites everyone to get out on the water, enjoy the fresh air, and discover the beauty of Mandurah’s waterways in a safe and supportive environment.

It connects disability organisations, people with disability, community advocates and family members and takes place in the Tuckey Meeting Room in the Council Chambers Building (83 Mandurah Terrace) from 10am - 11:30am.

💙 Exciting news for Team Midway! 💙

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Lisa Munday MLA to Midway, who presented us with a Lotterywest Grant certificate! 🎉

This grant will fund the purchase of a training simulator mannequin — an incredible new training tool that will help our team continue delivering high-quality, person-centred support and training.

A huge thank you to Lotterywest for supporting our vision of continuous learning and excellence, and to Lisa for joining us to celebrate this exciting milestone. Together, we’re helping build a stronger, more skilled community. 🙌
