New alcohol guidelines were released by the National Health and Medical Research Council today. The guidelines recommend no more than ten standard drinks a week, and no more than four on any one day. Examples of one standard drink being
- 375ml can of mid-strength beer 🍺
- 100ml wine 🍷
- 30ml nip of spirit 🥃

However a key message of the new guidelines is to drink as little as possible.

The guidelines present a timely reminder to consider our alcohol intake as we embark on the festive season.

The guidelines are informed by a review of the best available evidence. The less you drink, the lower the risk of harm to your health.

FODMAPers rejoice!

New app on the market to further assist following the low FODMAP diet. Early days though appears easy to use and useful alongside other tools such as the Monash FODMAP
