Life doesn’t suddenly get quiet.

The calendar doesn’t clear.
The responsibilities don’t disappear.
The noise doesn’t politely wait.

Calm isn’t about doing less.
It’s about relating to your life differently.

It’s a decision.
A micro pause.
A way of leading yourself, even in the middle of full days.

Calm isn’t found when life slows down.
It’s chosen while life is happening.

This Valentine’s Day, I’ve been thinking about what love really means.

Earlier this week, I shared a reflection with the beautiful residents at the retirement village where I work, about how, when we’re young, we often think love is flowers, cards, and grand gestures 💐

But as the years go by, we realise love is something much deeper.

Love is staying.
Love is patience.
Love is shared means, inside jokes, quiet understanding, and cups of tea made just the way someone likes it.

It’s the stories you’ve lived.
The hands you’ve held.
The people you’ve cared for.
The memories that still make you smile or sometimes bring a tear to your eye.

Valentine’s Day isn’t only about romance. It’s about all the love you’ve given across your lifetime. It’s about all the love that still surrounds you – in your friendships, in your family, and in your community.

Today I’m grateful for this gorgeous bunch of flowers my husband gifted me and our girls. I’m even more grateful for the steady, everyday love that’s built over time. That’s the kind of love that lasts.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours ❤️

On Wednesday 4th March, I’m honoured to have been invited to speak at for their International Women’s Day event about the importance of self-care and making time for yourself - not as a luxury, but as the foundation for living an aligned life.

When you constantly override your energy, you disconnect from yourself.
When you honour it, you come back into alignment.

Self-care isn’t about doing more.
It’s about living in a way that actually fits you.

If you’re local to Ferntree Gully, come along. This is a conversation about choosing yourself - without guilt 💛

I’ve stopped responding immediately just because I can.

And honestly, I do feel guilty sometimes - especially with women I love so much. But then I remind myself that connection isn’t measured by speed. It’s measured by presence.

We’re living in an urgency culture these days - snapchat streaks, read receipts, constant notifications. I don’t want my girls growing up thinking love = instant replies.

I want them to see that you can care deeply and still take your time. That you can be devoted without feeling depleted. That thoughtful responses matter more than reactive ones.

My closest friendships are strong enough to hold spaciousness, and I’m so grateful for that ❤️

This is what building capacity looks like. Not doing more. Not performing better. Just leading yourself differently.

A quiet reflection from my work recently.

Hearing stories of a long-held friendship moved me deeply. Not because of how it ended, but because of how much life, laughter, and connection was shared along the way.

The way her eyes lit up when she spoke about her friend said everything. There was a depth there - the kind of connection only women seem to create together. The kind that lets you be wholly yourself, settles your nervous system, and feels like a deep exhale.

We often think self-care is something we do alone, but being connected, supported, and uplifted by other women is one of the most powerful forms of care there is.

Cherish your friendships. They are a key part of a well lived life.

Something that stands out to me among those I speak with in their 90’s who still smile often and carry a softness about them, is that they have faith. Not always in the same way. For some it’s in God, for others it’s in something else greater, or simply a quiet knowing that they are always supported.

It seems to give them a steadiness and a sense of peace that carries them through everything.

When I reflect on this, for me faith is an unseen connection. It’s a deep trust in that quiet support that holds me. It’s something I feel deeply, and having these conversations reminds me that when we have faith, life feels lighter, richer, and far more beautiful ✨

Does anyone else feel that deep sense of being held too?

A few months ago, I stepped into a new role as a Wellbeing Coordinator at a retirement village. It’s been one of the most unexpectedly life-shifting chapters of my journey.

I’ve found myself sitting in quiet conversations with people who have lived whole lifetimes before I even existed. People who have loved deeply, lost deeply, walked through seasons they thought would break them, and still wake up grateful for another morning.

I listen to their stories about childhood, great loves, family, regrets, resilience, miracles, and what makes their lives meaningful now. I leave these conversations changed, every single time.

They don’t talk about ticking boxes, timelines, comparison, or being behind. They talk about love, presence, connection, and the micro moments that make life beautiful.

Something inside me knows this is why I’m here…

To witness wisdom shaped by time, to learn from it, and to pass on reflections and moments from these conversations that make us rethink everything we chase, everything we worry about, and everything we tell ourselves is important.

What a beautiful new season of life I’m in 💛

I pulled this card today and it’s powerful. It’s a reminder that nothing sustainable grows out of burnout.

Pushing and hustling only drains what’s most precious - our time, our love, our energy. It’s not how I live my life. These days I prefer to move through life more slowly and intentionally.

I am a woman who honours my energy and values. I’ve created a rhythm and rituals that feel simple, personal, and sustainable - not overwhelming or out of alignment. It doesn’t mean I don’t have overwhelming moments, I just know how to bring myself back to calm pretty quickly.

Simplicity is powerful ✨
It gives me mental clarity, inner calm, and a life that feels beautifully aligned. There is so much magic in slowing down and allowing things to be simple.

What small things bring simplicity and calm into your life? (Maybe it’s laying clothes out the night before, one load of washing a day so it doesn’t pile up, or perhaps 5mins of lying with your legs up the wall to self-regulate 🙋🏻‍♀️)

Last Wednesday was the final class of my 6 week Mindfulness & Meditation course at my local community house.

The group of women who showed up was pure magic. From the very first session it felt like catching up with old friends. Together we explored mindfulness tools, and various meditation styles. We breathed and laughed a lot! 🧘‍♀️

Not only did they take tools and knowledge away, but I also walked away with so much in my heart. This beautiful group will stay with me forever 💛

In today’s mindfulness and meditation class, I could literally feel the calm settling across the women in the room - myself included.

We breathed together, that’s it. We did box breathing, deep belly breathing, pursed lips breathing, and as a reached for the heavens to give our bodies a beautiful stretch and invite oxygen in.

Breathwork is simple but powerful. It’s a reminder that peace is always within reach, if we pause long enough to notice it.

To the women joined me today - thank you for showing up for yourself, and for each other. You are magic ✨ Can’t wait for the next week!

There’s so much noise out there, especially in the health, wellness, and self-development space. It’s no wonder women feel overwhelmed trying to keep up. Everywhere you look, there’s a new ‘must-do’ to look, feel, or be a certain way.

Self-improvement can often be overwhelm in disguise, and more often than not, instead of taking the steps, we freeze because of the pressure. It’s too much.

This is your moment to give yourself full permission to take only what truly supports you and lovingly let the rest go.

You don’t have to drink green juices, get up at 5am to move your body, heal every piece of your past, track every step, scale your business, or start a side hustle.

You don’t have to exhaust yourself trying to fit into someone else’s idea of what your life should look like.

You know what feels good for you, and you’re absolutely allowed to honour that.

Take what resonates. Leave the rest. 💛
