In 2022, Trav graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science degree with a major in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Trav received a distinction for his bachelor's degree and a second-class honours (division A) for his honours year during this time. Due to Trav's exceptional academic performance, the Golden Keys honour society accepted him as a member.
Trav has had close to 10 years of experience as a personal trainer, 3 years as a high performance strength and conditioning coach, and nearly 10 years of experience as a combat fitness leader for the military. Trav also served 17 years as a soldier in the Australian Defence Force and commenced working this year as a part-time rehabilitation consultant in the occupational rehabilitation field.
During his honours year, he gained experience working with clients with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, pulmonary, musculoskeletal, cardiac, neurological, renal, and mental health concerns. Trav has worked with clients through the DVA,
Medicare, NDIS, Workcover, Comcare, and private sectors to deliver individual and group sessions. These sessions involved hydrotherapy, gym, telehealth, and home-based interventions. Trav also has experience in ergonomic assessments and functional
capacity evaluations.
Trav is passionate about understanding the human body and the benefits that sport andexercise have on it, both mentally and physically. He is hoping to develop new and healthy habits with each client and motivate individuals to look, move, and perform
better in all aspects of their lives. Trav is excited about using 'exercise as medicine' to treat individuals with a wide variety of medical concerns.
Trav is married with two active young boys and loves everything outdoors: camping, water sports, triathlon, golf, snowboarding, and AFL.
