Welcoming baby River 🤍

Some beautiful photos to share of parents Nicole and Eugene, alongside midwife Lou, practice manager Bridget and Dr Tom, holding their newly arrived baby River — safely delivered into the world this March and already so deeply loved.

River is also welcomed by proud big brother Roman (4), stepping into his new role with much brotherly love.

It’s always such a privilege to share in these first moments as a family grows. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey.

A huge congratulations to Amy and Kade on the arrival of your beautiful baby boy, Albie — he is absolutely divine!

It was such a joy and privilege to be part of your journey to parenthood. Thank you for trusting us with such a important time 🤍

Baby Albie might just be the newest good luck charm for the Melbourne Demons and Kade with that astonishingly good performance over the weekend — phew what a game! Incredible stuff. Bravo Chandler. 👏

Safe to say parenthood is suiting you guys.

Introducing the very talented Dr Kate Abel. 🎉

Dr Kate is an exceptional obstetrician and gynaecologist, balancing her own private practice alongside her public appointments.

We’re delighted to share that Dr Kate has joined the weekend cover group alongside Dr Tom, Dr Guy Skinner and Dr Lionel Steinberg.

Dr Kate will also be providing primary obstetric cover for Dr Tom when he is on holiday leave, as well as supporting mid-week cover and consulting if needed.

She will be consulting out of Suite 101 on a weekly basis, so please be sure to say hello if you see her around the hospital.

Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr Cade is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in private practice at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital, in Melbourne.

His practice focuses on three main services (1). Pre-pregnancy & fertility care, (2) Obstetric care, and (3) Gynaecological care.

Dr Cade also has a public appointment at the Royal Women’s Hospital and is Head of the Diabetes Unit there.

Dr Cade specialises in gestational diabetes, specifically the management of those with pre-existing diabetes or who have had gestational diabetes in a previous pregnancy. He received the Luke Proposch Perinatal Research Scholarship for his work in the management of gestational diabetes and has submitted his doctoral thesis on this topic.
