We’re so pleased to welcome Olivia Sizeland to the acupuncture team at Fertile Ground.

Olivia works with the body as an organised, intelligent system - tracing patterns, listening for pathways, noticing where flow has quietly become restricted.

Her approach reflects the foundations of Chinese medicine: that the body is inherently ordered and always communicating.

Olivia’s treatments are gentle, precise and deeply attentive. Alongside acupuncture, she often weaves in subtle cranial work - light touch through the craniosacral system, supporting nervous system regulation and encouraging a shift from stress into rest.

Meet Dr Tara Hanaphy, Doctor of Chinese Medicine, now practising at Fertile Ground Health Group in Fitzroy.

Tara works with people at some of the most tender and complex points of their lives - fertility journeys, IVF cycle, pregnancy, birth preparation. And the quieter, ongoing work of cycle health and hormonal balance that so often sits underneath it all.

Gentle, intentional abdominal work can support bloating, sluggish digestion, gut tension and that feeling of being “stuck” in your middle.

For fertility
Our signature fertility massage is designed to support circulation to the pelvis, soften tension through the abdomen and womb space, and help the body feel safe enough to do what it knows how to do.

You can receive fertility massage throughout your whole cycle.
The most supportive window is usually just after bleeding finishes and before ovulation, when the body is naturally preparing.

For the nervous system
A tight belly often means a tight nervous system.
When the abdomen softens, the body shifts into parasympathetic mode - rest, digest, repair. This is where healing happens.

And yes, belly massage can also be included in pregnancy massage, always guided by your comfort and preference.
