Meet our newest addition: Molly!

Hi! My name is Molly! I am very excited to be joining the Sunrise team as a speech pathologist in 2026. I became a speech pathologist because I love working with children of all ages and collaborating with families to support their child’s communication. 🙌
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and playing football! 🏉 ☀️

A palatal lisp happens when the tongue touches the soft palate (the roof of the mouth) instead of staying near the teeth when saying /s/ or /z/ sounds 😁. It makes the sounds more like a “sh” or “zh”.

It might sound like:
☁️ “sun” -> “shun”
☁️ “zip” -> “zhip”
☁️ “soup” -> “shoup”

It’s not typical in development and it is recommended to seek support from a speech pathologist ☀️
