Seeking your feedback about your breastfeeding experience

Seeking your feedback about your breastfeeding experience

Western Sydney is currently conducting research to better understand women’s experiences with breastfeeding with the goal of improving breastfeeding support services across NSW.

If you have had a baby in a NSW public hospital in the last five years we would like your help to improve breastfeeding support.

Please complete our online survey looking at breastfeeding support and assessment during pregnancy. It takes about 5-10 minutes to compete and is anonymous.

The survey is part of a research project that aims to improve pregnancy breastfeeding support.

Here is the link to the survey with more information:

The research project is being led by clinical midwife consultant and researcher Dr Sarah Melov from Western Sydney Local History District. If you have any questions about this project, you can email her on sarah.melov@health.nsw.gov.au

💖 Say Their Name Day - March 25th 💖

Today, we remember and honor our precious babies taken too soon. Though they may no longer be with us, their names will forever be etched in our hearts.

On this special day, we say their names out loud, sharing their light and love, because they are always a part of us. To every parent, family, and friend who carries this pain—you’re not alone.

Let us hold our babies in our hearts, where they will live on forever.

🌟 Say Their Name. Remember Their Spirit. 🌟

"It's just what we do" isn't good enough when it comes to membrane sweeping in pregnancy.

Many women and families ask about membrane sweeping, which is often presented as an alternative to induction of labour.

And yet it's not an alternative to induction.

It is a FORM of induction.

Because we see so many questions about this, I have updated my blog post on this topic.

Learn what the evidence really says about this common procedure.

Hormones are the amazing chemical messengers in a woman’s body that prepare the woman and her baby for labour and birth, stimulate the uterus to contract and push out her baby, and then contract the uterus back down as well as preparing mother and baby for breastfeeding!
